Wright was inactive with his foot injury last week against Kansas City. De’Von Achane went down with a season-ending ACL injury and Ollie Gordon took over as the team’s workhorse with no other running back on the active roster. Dolphins coaches have implied that both Gordon and Wright will get work in the Miami backfield with Achane out. An even backfield split would make both Wright and Gordon nothing more than deep-league flex plays.

Douglas, who has shown flashes in limited action so far this season, did not suit up in Week 3 against the Chiefs and looks like a long shot for Week 4 against the Vikings. Douglas’ absence would be a potential boost for Malik Washington, who leads the Dolphins in targets and air yards through Week 3. Minnesota’s defense, while elite, has allowed the fourth most air yards this season and profiles as a pass-funnel.

Asked about Ward’s continuing footwork disaster, Saleh said the second-year quarterback “usually starts off good then fades into old habits.” Titans beat writer Terry McCormick then asked Saleh “why if his footwork gets worse as the game goes on, why the offense has had such slow starts. [Saleh] said it has been dropped passes vs. Giants and defense not getting off field vs. Eagles.” Saleh has made a point to shield Ward from all criticism throughout the preseason and through three horrific regular season outings. Ward ranks 20th in accuracy and 29th in EPA per drop back this season. He’s fresh off throwing a game-deciding end zone interception against the lowly Giants in Week 3. Mitchell Trubisky will probably get a couple starts this season if Ward can’t turn things around.

Maye, after another meltdown in Week 3 against the Jaguars, has now posted a negative drop back EPA in six dtraight outings dating back to last season. Against Jacksonville on Sunday he posted a meager 40 percent drop back success rate, the fifth lowest of the week. “What’s fallen apart with Maye looks like it’s between the ears as much as anything physical,” Graff said. “He looks like a quarterback whose confidence is shot.” Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said this week that Maye needs to calm down if things are going to turn around. “We need to stop trying to choke the life out of every single play,” Vrabel said during his Monday radio appearance. “We need to relax.” Maye through Week 3 ranks 32nd in fantasy points per drop back, below the likes of Daniel Jones and Cam Ward. It will be tough to start Maye in Week 4 against Buffalo if there are other viable QB options on the waiver wire.

Edwards went down with a non-contact knee injury in Week 3 against the Colts and did not return to the game. He could miss the rest of the season if his knee issue requires surgery. This would be a less-than-welcome development for a Houston defense that has struggled through three games.

Horn, who suffered a quad tear in Week 3’s loss to Cleveland, could miss most of the season while Jackson’s groin injury is likely less severe. Even so, Carolina’s suspect defense will be without both starting corners for now — a potential boon for opposing passing attacks, including the Lions in Week 4. Carolina has allowed the 12th lowest drop back EPA and the 15th lowest passing success rate through Week 3.

It sounds like White will be a question mark headed into Washington’s Week 4 game against the Colts in London. Quinn added that it’s too early to tell whether Austin Ekeler, who signed with the Commanders this week, will be active for Week 4. Jacory Croskey-Merritt could see a significant bump in carries and pass routes — and maybe targets — if White is sidelined this week. JCM, who has 58 percent of the team’s carries through three games, would be a nice flex option in that case.

It looks like Daniels will log some practice time ahead of the Commanders’ Week 4 London matchup against the Colts, less than two weeks after suffering yet another elbow injury. ESPN’s Adam Schefter said Tuesday that Daniels will likely require surgery on the elbow after the season. That raises questions about whether he can return and play as he usually does in the coming months. For now it looks like Marcus Mariota will get a second straight start for Washington. He’ll be usable in superflex formats against a middling Colts coverage unit.

Gwyn went down with a serious leg injury in Week 3 against the Cowboys and will require surgery in the coming days, per Fowler. That will leave Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense without their starting center for at least the next couple months. Rookie first-round pick Vega Ioane will likely start at center for the Ravens in Week 4. It’s a blow to a Baltimore offensive line that ranks 29th in ESPN’s pass blocking win rate and third in run blocking win rate.

Waddle was spotted in a walking boot after the Broncos’ Sunday night win, prompting speculation over his status. Jane reports that Waddle is “fine” while beat reporter Zac Stevens said a source told him “there’s nothing wrong” with the 27-year-old wideout. The boot certainly could have been a precautionary measure but we will wait for Wednesday’s practice report to find out if Waddle is truly dealing with an injury.
