NBA Top Plays: Sunday 12/27

Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome back to another NBA daily fantasy season! This article will provide top plays meant for general daily fantasy success. Remember to check the confirmed lineups at Rotoworld Starting Lineups before lock. The most up to date information is crucial for daily fantasy success.

Point Guard

Raul Neto - Washington Wizards (vs. Orlando Magic) DK: $3,100 FD: $3,500 Yahoo: $10

Bargain Bin

Neto will start in place of Westbrook but Ish Smith is another viable player to earn extra minutes tonight. Both players are cheap with massive upsides. Distributing the ball to Beal will be the name of the game tonight so tons of assists and rebounds are up for grabs. The Orlando Magic allowed opponents to average 24.7 assists per game last season. This was ranked 11th highest in the NBA. The Magic are - 2 point favorites with a high 230 O/U.

Other PG Option: Elfrid Payton - New York Knicks (vs. Milwaukee Bucks)

Make sure to check the Rotoworld NBA Optimizer before lock! Here you will find the top plays paired with accurate projections which will help you create your lineup!

Shooting Guard

Bradley Beal - Washington Wizards (vs. Orlando Magic) DK: $8,900 FD: $8,500 Yahoo: $37

This was from my write up yesterday. “It’s unclear if Russell Westbrook will sit tonight with a back-to-back next up on the schedule but as of now, it seems as if he will be OUT. This means a massive usage shift for Bradley Beal...If Westbrook ends up playing, Beal’s ceiling becomes limited but his floor remains high.” Well, Westbrook played. Both he and Beal reached value but as predicted here we are a night later with Westbrook expected to rest on the backend of their first back-to-back of the season. I expect Beal to be a popular play but I also expect him to perform very well. At a salary of $8,900 on Draftkings, Beal becomes a must-play tonight in cash games as well as GPP tournaments.

Other SG Option: Evan Fournier - Orlando Magic (vs. Washington Wizards) [[ad:athena]]

Small Forward

RJ Barrett - New York Knicks (vs. Milwaukee Bucks) DK: $7,000 FD: $6,300 Yahoo: $21

Barrett disappointed over 37 minutes of play. He totaled 10 points, 4 assists, and 6 rebounds. He was 0 for 6 from beyond the arc. For his current salary that will not do it. With Dennis Smith Jr., Immanuel Quickley, and Austin Rivers likely out tonight, the Knicks will need Barrett to step up. Julius Randle is another Knick that will need to step up (again) tonight. The Bucks are -1000 favorites with a 222.5 O/U. A blowout scenario is very real for this one. Proceed with caution before rostering Knicks AND Bucks, a blowout will have the starters sitting in the 4th quarter.

Other SF Option: Deni Avdija - Washington Wizards (vs. Orlando Magic)

Power Forward

Julius Randle - New York Knicks (vs. Philadelphia 76ers) DK: $7,700 FD: $7,500 Yahoo: $30

Randle has been the most used Knicks this season. He has talented compliments to distribute the ball to and has a “pass-first” guard in Elfrid Payton to get the ball from. The matchup against Giannis tonight is bad at first glance but I think Randle can rise to the occasion and go pound for pound with Milwaukee’s Antetokounmpo.

Other PF Option: Kevin Durant - Brooklyn Nets (vs. Charlotte Hornets)

Center

Andre Drummond - Cleveland Cavaliers (vs. Philadelphia 76ers) DK: $8,600 FD: $8,400 Yahoo: $43

Drummond had a huge game against his former team in the Detroit Pistons last night. Now, keep in mind that this is the back end of a back to back so rest to be his most likely fate tonight which is why I have Kevin Love as my “Other Center Option”. The matchup is solid with Embiid on the backend of a back-to-back as well. Either Drummond or Love will exceed value significantly tonight, I can tell you that.

Other C Option: Kevin Love - Cleveland Cavaliers (vs. Philadelphia 76ers)

Pivots

Fading Washington

Fading value in Los Angeles with Anthony Davis OUT tonight.

Thomas Bryant

Fade Cleveland

Bargain Bin

PG DeVante Graham - Charlotte Hornets

SG Seth Curry - Philadelphia 76ers

SF Cedi Osman - Cleveland Cavaliers

PF Isaac Bonga - Orlando Magic

C Daniel Theis - Boston Celtics
