Bengals coach Zac Taylor said Ja’Marr Chase (knee) will be “limited this week” but that he “feels good about his progress.”

We’re not viewing this as a major cause for concern; the Bengals have no reason to rush Chase back on the field after he hyperextended his knee last week. If he’s still drawing limited tags on the official injury reports next week, then we can start Panic Mode. Taylor added that Higgins (heel contusion) may also be limited this week. "(Tee) and Ja’Marr will be good at the end of the week,” said Taylor.
NFL could 'deconstruct' Sunday Ticket by 2030
Mike Florio discusses the future of NFL broadcasting on the heels of a report that the league could do away with Sunday Ticket, the subscription service allowing fans to watch every out-of-market game, by 2030.

Chase was injured after a second quarter facemask penalty by a Jaguars defender. His neck whipped back as he was taken to the ground and he promptly exited the game. After a brief amount of time in the blue tent, Chase headed to the locker room. The Bengals announced he is being evaluated for a concussion but a locker room visit indicates Chase is on the wrong side of questionable.

Higgins scored his first touchdown of the season late in the second quarter when he hauled in a contested target against Asante Samuel Jr. for a 28-yard score while falling backward in the end zone. Higgins has now gone for 90-plus yards in back-to-back games and has seen six or more targets in every game this season. He’ll be a high-upside WR2 in next week’s game against the Jaguars.

Chase’s 12 targets led the Bengals in this one. The star receiver caught all three of his targets on the Bengals’ first drive of the game, with his last target resulting in a three-yard touchdown. Chase would come up with a big 21-yard reception on a fourth-and-two in the third quarter that helped set up Evan McPherson for an eventual field goal and came up with two catches on third downs to extend drives. Chase has now scored in back-to-back games and has a dominant 16-173-3 line on 21 targets over that span. As usual, he’ll be a must-start in Week 4 against the Jaguars in a game that could have plenty of scoring.

Higgins had a number of incredible catches in this one, including a backshoulder ball in the fourth quarter. His longest gain of the day, a 23-yarder to get the Bengals into Ja’Marr Chase touchdown range, actually happened when he was left uncovered by the Texans over the middle. Whoops. Higgins will be a WR2 against the Steelers in Week 3.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #1
His first touchdown was a breathtaking back-shoulder ball that required picture-perfect foot dragging to bring in for a score — it was such a good catch that CBS play-by-play man Kevin Harlan didn’t actually believe it was a touchdown at first. He added a second touchdown out of structure when Joe Burrow drifted to the right of the pocket and lured Reed Blankenship up to create a hole for Chase. Fantasy’s WR1 is back at it again and should (obviously) be started and trusted against the Steelers in Week 3.

Higgins also had a long second half reception overturned when he failed to keep control heading to the ground. Like Ja’Marr Chase, it was a quiet statistical start to the year caused in part by short Bengals fields following Bucs turnovers. Tampa’s defense also seemed to be forcing Joe Burrow to the middle of the field. Higgins has a tough Week 2 test in the Texans, but we are still firing him up as a WR2 after Houston’s defense folded vs. the Bills on Sunday.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #1
Typically if you see 33 points for the Bengals, you are going to assume a big day for the No. 1 wideout, especially vs. an undermanned secondary. It wasn’t meant to be for whatever reason — one reason was short fields set up by Bucs turnovers — with Joe Burrow looking Chase’s way on only four of 35 attempts. Burrow was also more focused on the middle of the field than the boundary. It continues Burrow and Chase’s baffling habit of quiet Week 1 efforts, but there is nothing to read in to it heading into Week 2. Chase will be a locked-and-loaded WR1 vs. an elite Texans defense smarting for a Week 1 collapse vs. Buffalo.

Bengals HC Zac Taylor said Higgins and fellow receiver Ja’Marr Chase (knee) will both be good to go for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers. Higgins has been dealing with a heel/foot injury in recent weeks but will be on the field for the team’s season-opener. He profiles as a high-end WR2 in what is expected to be a high-scoring game to kick off the Bengals’ 2026 season.

Chase was a full participant in each of the Bengals’ first two practices to start the week and is good to go for Week 1, according to head coach Zac Taylor. Chase can be trusted as a high-end WR1 for fantasy players in a matchup against the Buccaneers that should be ripe for fantasy points.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #5
The Bengals will have their top two wide receivers on the field for what should be a high-scoring game against the Buccaneers. Higgins is a high-end WR2 with WR1 upside, playing alongside WR1 Ja’Marr Chase this weekend.

Vikings declared WR Justin Jefferson, S Jakobe Thomas, QB Max Brosmer, P Brett Thorson, CB Chuck Demmings and DL Elijah Williams inactive for Week 4 against the Dolphins.

Jefferson injured his ankle in Week 3 and reportedly “got close” to returning to the game. Holding him out appears to have been the right call. He did not practice at all this week. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported yesterday that Jefferson is “hopeful” to play in Week 5 against the Saints. Jefferson’s Week 4 absence elevates Jordan Addison to the top receiving role.

Te’Cory Couch (hamstring) is doubtful to return to Week 4 against the Patriots.

Couch is on the field for the Bills as a depth player with Christian Benford (toe) sidelined. It seems that the Bills will now be down yet another cornerback for the remainder of this game.

Dolphins declared WR Caleb Douglas, QB Brady Cook, CB Marcellas Dial, EDGE Rob Beal, OG DJ Campbell, OT Chukwuebuka Godrick and TE Justin Joly inactive for Week 4 against the Vikings.

The Vikings will be without Douglas, one of their two talented rookie wide receivers, against the Vikings’ top-tier defense today. He is sidelined by an ankle injury. Joly, the Dolphins’ rookie tight end, is inactive after making his debut last week. Cook wil serve as the team’s emergency third quarterback.

Athan Kaliakmanis completed 15-of-33 passes for 186 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Commanders’ 30-13, Week 4 loss to the Colts.

Marcus Mariota suffered a knee injury at the end of the Commanders’ second drive. He was later ruled out for the rest of the game, resulting in Kaliakmanis’ first NFL action. He tried to chuck it deep like Mariota has done so far, but the results weren’t nearly as pretty. He averaged 5.3 yards per attempt and completed 45.5 percent of his passes. Kaliakmanis did find Treylon Burks for a 47-yard bomb in the third quarter, so it wasn’t all bad. Mariota is likely out next week, but Jayden Daniels has a good shot at returning. Assuming he does, Kaliakmanis will return to backup duties versus the Giants.

Seth McGowan rushed six times for 31 yards in the Colts’ Week 4 win over the Commanders, adding one catch for seven yards.

McGowan got a whole drive to himself early in the second quarter. Three of his carries and one of his two targets came on this drive. He was otherwise tasked with normal backup duties. McGowan is the only backup of note on the team, but he doesn’t have a standalone fantasy role right now.

Saquon Barkley (hamstring) will not return to the Eagles’ Week 4 game against the Rams.

Barkley was injured on the Eagles’ second series and officially ruled out midway through the second quarter. He had only two carries for eight yards before departing. It has been mostly Tank Bigsby since, though Will Shipley has received a smattering of handles. Already banged up this season, Barkley is probably in real danger of missing Week 5 against the Jaguars in London.

DJ Moore is doubtful to return to Week 4 against the Patriots.

Moore landed on his left shoulder while trying to make the catch on a pass in the second quarter. It’s the same shoulder that he injured in the Week 2 win over the Lions. Obviously, the fact that it’s the same shoulder is not a great sign, as is Moore’s long injury history. We should get an update at halftime, but Keon Coleman figures to step into a larger role for the remainder of the game.

Tyler Warren caught all five of his targets for 41 yards in the Colts’ Week 4 win over the Commanders.

Warren tied for a team high in catches but was out-targeted by Laquon Treadwell and Ashton Dulin. If you couldn’t tell, the passing attack did not look good. Daniel Jones was horribly inaccurate and the Commanders were largely successful in slowing down Warren and Josh Downs. Better days should be ahead for Warren, but he’s averaging a dismal 32.5 yards per game right now. He’s falling to the back of the TE1 ranks ahead of Indy’s Week 5 date with Pittsburgh.

Ashton Dulin caught 3-of-6 targets for 29 yards in the Colts’ Week 4

Dulin was active for the first time this year. His return could not have come at a better time with Keenan Allen ruled out over the weekend. Dulin took on a starting role and wound up leading the team in targets, tied with Laquon Treadwell. The Colts couldn’t get much going through the air and settled for spreading the ball around instead of peppering their top pass-catchers with targets. It’s hard to imagine them taking that approach again in Week 5. Even if they do, Dulin is more of a thorn in the sides of Tyler Warren and Josh Downs than a FLEX option in his own right.

Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase (concussion evaluation) is questionable to return Week 4 against the Jaguars.

After a brief amount of time in the blue tent, Chase headed to the locker room.
