Ja’Marr Chase caught 6-of-10 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals’ Week 5 win over the Dolphins.

Chase returned from a concussion he suffered last week, seeing 10 targets in a productive fantasy day. He saw a goal-line fade target on the Bengals’ first drive and was later tackled at the one-yard line towards the end of the first half. Joe Burrow missed Chase for a 70-yard touchdown in the second half but Chase made a miraculous catch with his right arm for a 45-yard touchdown later in the half. He finishes with a successful fantasy day and is squarely in the WR1 ranks heading into the Bengals’ Week 6 bye.
What Rams WR will make up for the loss of Adams?
With Davante Adams missing between 6 and 10 weeks with a hamstring injury, Patrick Daugherty and Denny Carter discuss what other Rams' wide receivers could be good fantasy roster replacements.

Chase cleared the league’s concussion protocol over the weekend. With Tee Higgins (neck/groin) also expected to play, it’s business as usual for the Bengals this week. Higgins could be on a pitch count, while Chase won’t have any restrictions. Facing a pitiful Miami defense, Chase is in the running for WR1 overall this week.

He did fully practice today — it feels like this is trending in the right direction, but it’s hard to know without detailed reporting of where he is in the protocol how likely he is to sit. We’re sure there will be many more report on Chase over the next 24-36 hours. He enters the weekend a true question mark.

Chase still needs to clear concussion protocol if he hopes to suit up for Week 5’s game against the Dolphins. That said, he appears to be trending toward being able to play after logging back-to-back practices to close out the week. Tee Higgins (groin/neck), who was a DNP on Wednesday and Thursday was also seen sprinting and running routes on Friday, which suggests he could also be good to go for Sunday’s game. We will check back in with official game day statuses in the coming hours when the team releases its final injury report.

It looks like Chase will practice in some capacity today. He made the long walk to the Bengals’ practice field, fully suited up in pads, carrying his helmet. Given the NFL’s five-phase concussion protocol, we expect to see him listed as a limited participant today, but we will provide an update if he upgrades to full participation. Chase has a chance to play in Week 5 against the Dolphins.

Chase suffered the brain injury in Week 4 and did not return. He entered the league’s concussion protocol after the game. Taylor didn’t give much of an update on where he stands for Week 5, but Chase has several hurdles to clear before he is given the green light. He is likely on the wrong side of questionable to start the week, but it’s too early to say anything definitively. If he can’t go, Tee Higgins, who is dealing with an injury of his own, would take on the lion’s share of the targets in the Cincy offense.

Chase exited Week 4’s game against the Jaguars with a brain injury and didn’t return to the game. He will now need to clear a series of tests in the coming days if he hopes to be cleared in time to play in the Bengals’ Week 5 game against the Dolphins. Chase caught three passes for 27 yards before leaving Sunday’s game against the Jaguars and has caught 21 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns this season. If he’s unable to play, Dohnte Meyers, who has seen 14 targets over the last two weeks, could be worth a stash in deeper leagues with Tee Higgins (adductor) also considered day-to-day to start the week.

Chase exited in the first half after his facemask was pulled by a Jaguars defender and his head slammed against the ground. He headed to the locker room to be evaluated for the concussion and was promptly ruled out coming out of halftime. Chase’s day ends after catching three targets for 27 yards. Tee Higgins will see a big boost in targets with Chase out while Dohnte Meyers will also see an uptick in usage.

Chase was injured after a second quarter facemask penalty by a Jaguars defender. His neck whipped back as he was taken to the ground and he promptly exited the game. After a brief amount of time in the blue tent, Chase headed to the locker room. The Bengals announced he is being evaluated for a concussion but a locker room visit indicates Chase is on the wrong side of questionable.

Chase’s 12 targets led the Bengals in this one. The star receiver caught all three of his targets on the Bengals’ first drive of the game, with his last target resulting in a three-yard touchdown. Chase would come up with a big 21-yard reception on a fourth-and-two in the third quarter that helped set up Evan McPherson for an eventual field goal and came up with two catches on third downs to extend drives. Chase has now scored in back-to-back games and has a dominant 16-173-3 line on 21 targets over that span. As usual, he’ll be a must-start in Week 4 against the Jaguars in a game that could have plenty of scoring.

His first touchdown was a breathtaking back-shoulder ball that required picture-perfect foot dragging to bring in for a score — it was such a good catch that CBS play-by-play man Kevin Harlan didn’t actually believe it was a touchdown at first. He added a second touchdown out of structure when Joe Burrow drifted to the right of the pocket and lured Reed Blankenship up to create a hole for Chase. Fantasy’s WR1 is back at it again and should (obviously) be started and trusted against the Steelers in Week 3.

Colts signed P Thomas Morstead to the practice squad.

Morstead spent 12 years punting for the Saints before making stops with the Jets, Falcons, Dolphins, and 49ers over the last five seasons. The 40-year-old veteran averaged 43.6 yards per punt for San Francisco last year. Current Colts punter Rigoberto Sanchez was injured during a blocked punt in the Colts’ Week 6 loss to the Titans. Morstead joins the Colts’ practice squad as insurance in case Sanchez cannot play Week 7 against the Vikings.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Terrance Ferguson (ankle) “will take some time” to come off injured reserve.

Ferguson is eligible to come off injured reserve next week, but Schefter reports that a source told him Ferguson’s recovery “will take some time.” The Rams placed Davante Adams on injured reserve this week and are in desperate need of pass-catching help behind Puka Nacua. Ferguson is a rising receiving tight end for the Rams, but has been on injured reserve since suffering an ankle injury in Week 3. Though he is a good IR stash for fantasy purposes, Ferguson is going to take longer than the minimum four weeks to return. Without a good timeline for return, he can be released from fantasy rosters in dire need of more immediate help during bye weeks.

Patriots CB Carlton Davis (neck) was limited in Tuesday’s practice.

It was an upgrade from an estimated Monday DNP. Davis has missed Week 2, Week 3, Week 5 and Week 6 to the neck listing so far. Perhaps he’ll try to give it a go on Thursday night, but we’d be surprised if he did better than a questionable tag on Wednesday.

TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) practiced in full on Tuesday.

It’s been a stunningly quick recovery from what looked to be a high-ankle sprain that could sideline him. Henderson has practiced in full both days this week. We’re not concerned that he won’t play, but after fumble problems struck last week and Corey Kiner closed out the Jets in the fourth quarter, we do have slightly lowered expectations for his Thursday night stat line.

A.J. Brown (ankle) was limited in Tuesday’s practice.

Brown spoke with the media today and there’s no reason to believe he’ll actually miss this game, but he was regarded as “limited” in both sessions this week and it’s fair to wonder if he’s 100 percent just yet after his drop-filled, rough Week 6. He’s best-treated as a WR2 this week — you’re still probably starting him regardless of what the ranking is.

Patriots coach Mike Vrabel said Alijah Vera-Tucker (hamstring) and Ben Brown (knee) are unlikely to play on Thursday night.

Matt Pryor and Walter Rouse stepped in for the two guards towards the end of last week’s offensive line apocalypse and would likely be in line to start in Week 7. Neither Vera-Tucker nor Brown practiced on Monday or Tuesday.

Jonah Jackson (hip/quad) was limited in Tuesday’s practice.

Jackson left Sunday’s game with the injury, playing 64.9 percent of the snaps with Luke Newman spelling him. This is a good sign for his availability for Week 7 after Jackson did not practice on Monday, but he’s likely trending towards a questionable tag without a full listing on Wednesday.

Kyle Monangai (thumb/toe) did not practice on Tuesday.

He hasn’t practiced yet this week and appears very unlikely to go on Thursday night. It would seem to be trending towards another week with Roschon Johnson as the backup runner for the Bears.

Jordan Schultz reports teams seeking wideout help believe Hollywood Brown could be traded in the coming weeks.

Brown had two rushes for 12 yards against the Titans in Week 2 (not receptions) and has been inactive in every other week of the season. So, yeah, we guess he could be had. As could any of the several veteran receivers on losing teams who actually have caught a pass this year.

Eagles signed RB Eljiah Mitchell to their practice squad.

This time, they mean it. Mitchell has a decent chance to be elevated for Week 7 based on what we know today, which is that the Eagles waived Ian Wheeler from the practice squad and have only Saquon Barkley and Dameon Pierce on the active roster. This appears to be quite a fluid situation.
