Commanders HC Dan Quinn did not have an update on Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) on Monday.

Okonkwo’s name will be one to look for on Wednesday when the Commanders release their first injury report. The 27-year-old tight end exited in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Eagles and did not return to the field. If he’s unable to play in Week 2 against the Cowboys, the Commanders would be looking at using John Bates and unproven third-year tight end Ben Sinnott as their top two options. Neither should be trusted for fantasy purposes if Okonkwo is out.

Mike Florio and Chris Simms look at the penalty that was called against Cam Skattebo for lowering his helmet, breaking down how Skattebo's play style becomes a factor for John Harbaugh and the Giants.

It’s another rough blow for Washington’s No. 1 wideout, who will now have missed most of the last two seasons with injuries with the book closed on a 15-catch, 230-yard 2026 season in just five games. Entering his age-32 season in 2027, McLaurin will be a release or restructure candidate with a $34 million cap hit. The Commanders could save $16 million by releasing him without getting into post-June 1 antics. In the short term fantasy calculus, Stefon Diggs will slide in as Washington’s No. 1 receiver and Chig Okonkwo will also get a boost. Antonio Williams figures to see more snaps going forward as well.
  • WAS Wide Receiver #17
Washington head coach Dan Quinn said after the team’s Monday night loss to the 49ers that there was “fear” McLaurin could be lost for the long-term after going down with a non-contact injury and was carted to the locker room. McLaurin has functioned as the team’s lone downfield threat for much of the season, and could be replaced with Treylon Burks, who on Monday night caught four balls for 66 yards before sustaining a late-game injury. Antonio Williams and Dyami Brown could also see an increase in routes and targets if McLaurin is sidelined for a while. Look for Chig Okonkwo to see an uptick in targets too. Okonkwo had seven grabs for 69 yards against the Niners.
  • WAS Tight End #85
Okonkwo was thrust into an increased role with the departure of lead wide receiver Terry McLaurin in the first quarter, operating as the primary option through the air for much of the game. Veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs continued to operate in a situational role, making Okonkwo a priority start when the Commanders come out of their Week 7 bye to face the Eagles in Week 8.
  • WAS Wide Receiver #3
Commanders coach Dan Quinn said he is hopeful Diggs will get some practice reps in later this week. Diggs missed Week 5 with the hamstring issue, and a DNP today puts him on the wrong side of questionable for Week 6, even if Quinn remains optimistic. Terry McLaurin and Chig Okonkwo led the team in receiving last week. McLaurin should pull away from Okonkwo as he puts more time between himself and the hamstring injury that previously knocked him out for a week.
  • WAS Tight End #85
Okonkwo caught two passes on the Commander’s opening and immediately topped his previous best game of the season. He hauled in passes of 11 and 23 yards on back-to-back catches before Jacory Croskey-Merritt ended the drive with a 33-yard touchdown run. Okonkwo would come up with a 25-yard reception later in the second quarter on a drive that ended with a Drew Stevens field goal, but was targeted just one time in the second half. It was an overall nice outing for Okonkwo, but fantasy managers shouldn’t rush to add him to their lineups. He’ll be a boom-or-bust streaming option in Week 6 against the Niners.
  • WAS Tight End #85
Okonkwo got in a full practice on Friday after consecutive limited sessions. With Stefon Diggs (hamstring) out, Terry McLaurin (hamstring) questionable and Jayden Daniels (elbow) returning, Okonkwo could warrant top-12 positional treatment this week.
  • WAS Tight End #85
With Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs both absent for a second day in a row on Thursday, Okonkwo could catch some desperation TE1 steam on Friday. He seems on track to play and Jayden Daniels should provide a more reliable passing floor than he had last week.
  • WAS Tight End #85
Okonwko returned to the lineup last week after missing a handful of games with the hamstring injury. His limited designation today is likely just maintenance. With Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs banged up, he should see more work in Week 5. Okonkwo is in the TE2 mix for Sunday’s game versus the Giants.
  • WAS Tight End #85
Okonkwo was back in action today after missing the last two games with a hamstring issue. With Marcus Mariota exiting this game early because of an injury, the passing attack was out of whack from the jump. There wasn’t much of a chance to reinstall Okonkwo into the mix this week. The hope is that he will earn more work with Jayden Daniels potentially back in the lineup in Week 5, but fantasy managers will need to see it to believe it with Okonkwo.
  • WAS Tight End #85
After missing the last two games with a hamstring injury, Okonkwo will suit up when the Commanders take on the Colts in London. The 27-year-old tight end caught 2-of-3 targets for 16 yards in the Commanders’ Week 1 loss to the Eagles and ran 22 routes before exiting late in the third quarter. He has the chance to turn into a meaningful contributor in Washington’s passing game, but fantasy managers shouldn’t rush to put him in their lineups until we get a better sense of his role over the next few weeks. In addition to Okonkwo, Quinn also said LB Frankie Luvu (groin) would return in Week 4.

The Athletic’s Alec Lewis believes Kyler Murray is still “acclimating to the [Vikings’] progression-based passing game.”

Minnesota’s offensive ineptitude has reached stunning levels in recent weeks, including last Sunday against the Colts, when Murray had 150 yards and a touchdown while completing 58 percent of his pass attempts. “We’ll continue to get better,” Murray said Sunday night. “I know we will. I know we keep saying that, but I felt like we moved the ball well (against the Colts). We’ve just got to put the ball in the end zone.” The Vikings, who rank 25th in pass rate over expected this season, have operated conservatively on offense while their defense dismantles opponents week in and week out. As Lewis pointed out, the 2026 Vikings are the first team in a century to win five straight games with five or fewer TDs over that span. Murray through Week 7 ranks 28th out of 40 qualifying QBs in EPA per pass attempt and 33rd in fantasy points per drop back.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Vega Ioane suffered an MCL injury and will miss time.

Ioane went down with a knee injury on Sunday against the Bengals and did not return to the game. Though Rapoport said the injury is not considered long term, Ioane — an impressive rookie — will be sidelined for a while. Baltimore’s offensive line ranks 20th in pass block win rate and 19th in run block win rate, according to ESPN.

Dallas Goedert caught 5-of-7 targets for 48 yards in the Eagles’ Week 7 loss to the Cowboys.

Goedert has now returned consecutive games of middling production with Tanner McKee under center, which is a somewhat troubling realization considering DeVonta Smith missed both games and Dontayvion Wicks departed Week 6 with an injury before missing Week 7. Goedert’s fantasy value appears strictly tied to the state of a sinking Philadelphia ball club, now fighting through declining quarterback play in addition to poor offensive structure and shoddy play calling. Fantasy managers are likely forced to endure the middling production for lack of better options.

Makai Lemon caught 7-of-8 targets for 67 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles’ Week 7 loss to the Cowboys.

Lemon showed out with the best game of his career in the absence of both DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks, operating as the top option through the air throughout the game against the Cowboys. He started his night off with a 21-yard reception on the team’s first possession before adding a fourth quarter touchdown on a quick slant from four yards out. The uncertainty surrounding Smith’s injury could leave Lemon as the de facto lead receiver for a Week 8 divisional tilt against the Commanders, where his fantasy value will be strictly tied to the availability of the other receivers on the roster.

Tanner McKee completed 23-of-35 passes for 211 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Eagles’ 38-21, Week 7 loss to the Cowboys, adding one yard on one carry.

McKee looked to be comfortable in the pocket to start but things quickly unravelled, with the veteran backup unable to improve upon a 21-yard completion to rookie Makai Lemon in the first quarter as he remained incapable of attacking downfield. Lemon would also be the recipient of McKee’s lone touchdown toss, marking the second consecutive start with just one touchdown pass in relief of Jalen Hurts. The offense looked far more functional while Saquon Barkley was on the field, but the veteran back was in and out of the lineup from the second quarter through the fourth, before ultimately being deemed questionable to return and missing the final frame. The Eagles drop their fifth straight for the first time since 2016 as they fall further behind the Giants for the division lead. McKee is not worth rostering ahead of a Week 8 divisional tilt against the Commanders.

Jake Ferguson failed to catch his lone target in the Cowboys’ Week 7 win over the Eagles.

Ferguson has almost entirely fallen out of favor in the Dallas offense. He has yet to catch more than four balls, clear 43 yards, or see more than six targets in a game this season, leaving his fantasy value in the dumps when he’s held out of the end zone. Ferguson will be a difficult start despite a glowing matchup against the Cardinals in Week 8.

Ryan Flournoy caught all four targets for 70 yards in the Cowboys’ Week 7 win over the Eagles.

Flournoy is not typically going to see elite volume while playing alongside two true alphas in CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, but he continues to outproduce tight end Jake Ferguson as the preferred third option through the air. His big play potential showed against the Eagles as he caught a 35-yard dime early. Flournoy is, at minimum, worthy of a bench spot and could work his way into viable FLEX territory with another solid outing against the downtrodden Cardinals in Week 8.

CeeDee Lamb caught 5-of-12 targets for 74 yard and two touchdowns in the Cowboys’ Week 7 win over the Eagles.

It wasn’t a clean game for the alpha wide receiver by any stretch, who committed two drops and caught only five of his team-leading 12 targets. Despite the poor efficiency, Lamb made the plays he needed to when it mattered most, scoring from nine yards out on a fade to the back corner of the end zone and from 16 yards out on a similar play to the opposite sideline. Lamb has now seen 56 targets in his previous four games, with 12 or more in three of his last four. That level of volume keeps him in elite company near the top of rest-of-season wide receiver rankings in fantasy circles, where he will remain ahead of a Week 8 matchup against the Cardinals at home.

Javonte Williams rushed 25 times for 155 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys’ Week 7 win over the Eagles.

Williams churned out consistently positive gains against the injury-riddled Eagles but took off in the fourth quarter, gaining over 60 yards in the final frame. He cashed in for fantasy managers with a touchdown with just over two minutes remaining on the clock to push his line into elite territory, despite failing to notch any receptions. The career high in yardage on the ground comes after the Cowboys averaged the fewest rush attempts per game during the first six weeks of the new season. Williams gets a sparkling matchup against the Cardinals at home in Week 8, where he’ll return to RB1 status in fantasy circles following the eruption against the Eagles.

Dak Prescott completed 15-of-27 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns in the Cowboys’ 38-21, Week 7 win over the Eagles, adding eight yards on two carries.

Prescott made the throws when they counted while connecting on three touchdowns to his two alpha receivers, two to CeeDee Lamb and one to George Pickens. After averaging the fewest rush attempts per game through the first six weeks of the regular season, the Cowboys leaned heavily on Javonte Williams against a battered Eagles team, who set a career high with 155 yards on the ground. Even so, Prescott did not look his best, nor did the pass offense. Lamb committed two drops and the team benefited from multiple first downs due to penalty. Prescott gets another sparkling matchup against the Cardinals at home in Week 8, where he remains a fantasy QB1.
