Keenan Allen was formally charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration of equivalent to 0.15 or more.

Allen was arrested for DWI in late August and could face a suspension from the NFL. When that suspension could come down is anyone’s guess. For now Allen will continue playing significant snaps for the Colts. In Week 1 against the Ravens, Allen caught all six of his targets for 32 yards while running a route on 73 percent of the team’s drop backs.

Allen was second on the team in targets while leading in receptions and yards against the Vikings. He saw just 30 snaps but operated as a quick release valve over the middle of the field for Daniel Jones against a blitz-happy Vikings defense. In an otherwise low-volume day, Allen had another game with a high share of the Colts’ receiving output. He will be in the WR3 ranks ahead of a Week 8 matchup against the Jaguars.

Each of Allen’s targets, receptions and receiving yards were new personal bests for his embryonic Colts career. Allen is doing what he’s supposed to be doing in Indy, but that’s not true for many of his teammates. Then again, we don’t really care in fantasy football, as Allen’s WR3 checks are clearing all the same. Allen’s short-area looks will be in high demand in Week 7 as Daniel Jones tries to survive the Vikings’ onslaught of blitzes.
  • IND Wide Receiver #10
Allen did not play a full complement of snaps in his first week back from a groin injury. He played 32 of the team’s 71 snaps and ran a route on 28 of their 47 dropbacks. That makes him leading the team with nine targets even more impressive. Of course, the Colts were forced to throw almost 50 times because the Steelers made it a priority to contain Jonathan Taylor. It’s highly unlikely Daniel Jones throws that much going forward, but Allen remains the top target in the offense. The issue is that most of his targets are in the short-yardage areas of the field, so he is more of a fringe-FLEX option unless you’re in a full PPR league. Next week against the Titans is a good matchup for the Colts, though.

Allen got in a full practice on Friday, so he seemed to be trending towards being active, but now we know for sure. With Jamel Dean out this week and Joey Porter Jr. now in Dallas, the Colts’ passing game gets a slight bump, which is good news for Daniel Jones, who really needs to get back on track. The Colts inactives are: LB Jaylon Carlies, WR Ashton Dulin, QB Riley Leonard, WR Darius Slayton, and G Dalton Tucker.
  • IND Wide Receiver #10
Allen missed Week 4 with the groin issue but returned to practice this week and even managed a full session on Friday. The team still listed him as questionable, though he appeared to be on the right side of that designation heading into the weekend. Allen will be a low-ceiling WR4 for his date with the Steelers.
  • IND Wide Receiver #10
He did upgrade to a full practice today so he’s at least likely on the optimistic side of questionable. Still, we were hoping he’d be cleared off the line entirely today, so it does give us a little hesitation that he could practice all three times this week, including one full, and still be questionable. The Colts don’t really have much else behind him.
  • IND Wide Receiver #10
Two straight practices, albeit limited ones, should put Allen on the right side of questionable on Friday barring something new popping up. Allen will be an unexciting FLEX play against the Steelers in Week 5 if active.
  • IND Wide Receiver #10
Allen suffered a groin injury in practice last week and was unable to play in Week 4 against the Commanders. His early-week return puts him on track to play in Week 5 against the Steelers, but he can likely only be viewed as a touchdown-dependent FLEX at this time.
  • IND Wide Receiver #10
Allen was limited in practice throughout the week and listed as questionable. Now he’s been ruled out for Week 4 against the Commanders. Josh Downs is locked in as the Colts top wide receiver this week and Tyler Warren should also see a boost in value with Allen sidelined.
  • IND Wide Receiver #10
This one went under the radar. Allen was limited on Wednesday with a “rest” designation. He remained limited on Thursday, but the Colts tacked a groin injury next to his name while maintaining the “rest” designation and hope for a Week 4 appearance along the way. Allen was downgraded on Friday, unable to practice, and should be considered truly questionable to face the Commanders this week. Were he to sit, No. 1 wide receiver Josh Downs would get a helpful target share boost.

Jahmyr Gibbs (shoulder) practiced in full Thursday.

The return to practice comes on the heels of a missed practice Wednesday for the veteran workhorse, immediately putting fantasy managers at ease for Week 8. Managers will want to confirm his practice status Friday before making final preparations for the weekend, but it certainly appears as if Gibbs will be good to go for a normal, and massive, workload when the Lions take the field against the division rival Vikings.

Malik Washington (knee) was limited in Thursday’s practice.

Back-to-back limited sessions probably leave Washington in a good spot for Week 8. He’s more likely than not to be cleared off the injury report on Friday as long as there’s not a sudden downgrade.

TreVeyon Henderson (illness) did not practice on Thursday.

Illnesses typically don’t hold back NFL players, so we’d be surprised if Henderson missed time, but it is worth noting that it was a Thursday addition to the report. Because of that, if he missed Friday, it wouldn’t be surprising if he was listed as questionable. We’d still expect him to play either way.

Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) practiced in full Thursday.

The upgrade from “DNP” to a full session indicates St. Brown will be fine for a normal workload when the Lions face off against the Vikings Sunday, easing fantasy managers’ collective minds after the star receiver was not present at practice Wednesday. Fantasy managers will want to confirm his status on Friday’s injury report, but it certainly appears as if the team will have their veteran alpha for the divisional tilt.

Jakobi Meyers (hamstring) was limited in Thursday’s practice.

Meyers has put together a pair of limited sessions out of the bye and seems likely to play against the Colts in Week 8. Brian Thomas Jr.'s disappearing act has left Meyers capable of putting up WR3 lines, but the Colts may not be opponent enough to force that kind of production out of Meyers this week.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports the Colts have told teams they won’t move Adetomiwa Adebawore.

Adebawore, a fourth-round pick in 2023, played under 200 snaps in each of his first two seasons and was a pass-rush specialist in 2025. In 2026, he’s taken a step forward, with an 81.8 PFF grade buoyed by an 86.3 pass rush grade. It would be reasonable to expect the Colts to try to extend a player like this, but they sure didn’t seem to have any urgency to do it before the year.

Tyler Warren (groin) was limited in practice Thursday.

It was his second consecutive limited showing following two missed games, with his level of activity Friday likely to be telling as it pertains to a potential return in Week 8. Warren’s absence has been felt hard by a Colts offense that has struggled to move the football consistently. He would likely return to a sizable role over the middle of the field against the pass-funnel Jaguars, if active in Week 8.

Aaron Jones (knee) returned to practice Thursday.

Jones was forced from the team’s Week 7 win over the Colts due to an aggravation of an existing knee injury. The fact he was able to return to the practice field in any capacity after missing Wednesday’s session is good news for his potential availability against the Lions. We would expect him to form a loose committee with Jordan Mason, if active Sunday. Fantasy managers will want to confirm his level of participation Friday.

Dylan Sampson (knee) practiced in full on Thursday.

He played last week just fine, so it seems like he was just given a bit of a breather on Wednesday during a limited session. Sampson should handle 5-10 touches for the Browns on Sunday against the Steelers.

Brian Robinson (hamstring) did not practice Thursday.

He hasn’t practiced since before Week 6 and looks likely to be ruled out again on Friday. Khalil Herbert ran in Robinson’s place as the backup last week and would handle those duties again against Tampa on Sunday if Robinson is ruled out.
