Robinson (concussion) officially out for Week 2

Robinson appeared in Week 1 against the Raiders and is now in concussion protocol to open up Week 2. The 23-year-old has a history of concussions, entering the protocol twice last season. Robinson will be thoroughly evaluated before he officially returns, given this is his third head injury over the last calendar year.

Tolbert is listed as a second-stringer on the Dolphins’ depth, reinforcing coach Jeff Hafley’s confidence in rookie WRs Chris Bell and Caleb Douglas. Those two are listed as starters alongside slot WR Malik Washington. A wait-and-see approach is probably smart for the rookies, but they can be started in the FLEX spot as needed. Cook will serve as the emergency third quarterback.

Furones also lists Greg Dulcich as a player that was a primary receiver for Willis, but we’ve done plenty of offseason hype on Dulcich. Tolbert appears to be a potential “someone has to catch a ball here” deep league pick, as he’s well off the fantasy radar at this point. He’s not off the board among the top-100 wideouts in ADP. The ceiling is likely low, but if he can emerge as the top option amongst Miami’s wideouts, Tolbert could be a viable WR3/WR4 at points this year.

Oh, boy. Kelly giveth and taketh away. On the one hand, Kelly believes Tolbert “seems ready to handle the split end, possession receiver role.” On the other hand, Kelly thinks Tolbert is a replacement-level player. Tolbert has cleared 275 receiving yards just once in his four-year career. Kelly is probably right. If Tolbert can become the clear-cut No. 1 target, he might be able to return FLEX value, but he could be an extremely volatile producer.

Malik Willis, Hafley said during a Tuesday presser, is still building chemistry with the team’s pass catchers in OTAs and working on timing. That presumably includes Malik Washington, who had 46 catches for 317 yards and three scores last season, and Greg Dulcich, who’s expected by Miami beat writers to “figure heavily” into the team’s passing attack in 2026. Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell could also see heavy snaps in the Miami passing game this season. Tolbert, who flashed in Dallas in 2024 with 610 yards and seven touchdowns, could emerge as the Dolphins’ top pass-catching option with a solid training camp. There likely won’t be much target volume to go around, however, considering the team’s plans to operate a run-heavy offense.

NFL insider Jordan Schlutz reports Tolbert is “close with Malik Willis,” who was signed by the Dolphins earlier this week. A former third-round pick of the 2022 NFL Draft, Tolbert never emerged as a top option in the Cowboys’ passing game. Last season, the 27-year-old had his least productive season since his rookie year, catching 18 passes for 203 yards and one touchdown despite appearing on 464 offensive snaps. With Jaylen Waddle being the only starter of note in Miami’s receiver room, it’s possible Tolbert carves out a more meaningful role this season, but we wouldn’t bet on there being much fantasy value here.

We’re just a couple of years away from Tolbert being thought of as a potential fantasy sleeper. Instead, the 26-year-old will finish with 18 catches on 34 targets for 203 yards and one touchdown. He’ll enter free agency this offseason, but doesn’t figure to command a lot of interest as anything other than a depth option to round out a team’s wide receiver corps.

Brewer has gotten All-Pro support this year with a career-high 85.9 PFF grade, so his potential return to the lineup after missing Week 17 would bode well for (apparently) Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon. Dolphins LB Jordyn Brooks (hamstring), LB Chop Robinson (concussion), K Jason Sanders (right hip) and OL Austin Jackson (back) are all also questionable for Week 18.

Robinson entered concussion protocol in the second quarter against the Buccaneers and was promptly ruled out. He suffered a concussion in Week 9 and missed a game before returning in Week 11. Robinson’s season is likely over with the Dolphins eliminated and this being his second concussion of the season.

Clowney (hamstring) attempted to give it a go in warmups after practicing once, a limited session on Wednesday, this week. He will be missed against the Lions’ top-notch offense. The Cowboys have once again declared Blue, the once-exciting rookie, inactive this week. He does not need to be stashed at this time.
