Thomas has played more than 1,900 defensive snaps since the Colts drafted him in the 2022 NFL Draft’s seventh round. He played regularly in his first two seasons, but functioned as a backup over the past two. He should learn a thing or two by studying under Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald, even as a backup. Macdonald deploys his safeties creatively and effectively.
  • SEA Offensive Lineman #74
Jones did not practice all week with an ankle injury and is out for Thursday’s game against the Cardinals. He has played sparingly in the Seahawks’ three games as depth for the offensive line. OG Anthony Bradford (back) and LB Boye Mafe (toe) are both listed as questionable while S Nick Emmanwori (ankle) is doubtful for Week 4.
  • He’ll be out until at least Week 18. Christian Haynes replaced Bradford, who has been a bit of a sieve this year, at guard. Bradford has 10 penalties and a 53.0 PFF pass block grade in 11 starts this season.
  • Bradford went down with an apparent leg injury in the first quarter of the Seahawks’ Week 12 game against the Cardinals. He was listed as doubtful to return. Rookie Christian Haynes entered the game for Bradford.
  • Seattle now have seven of their 10 draft picks under contract as OTAs open around the league. Bradford is expected to serve as a depth piece behind presumed starting left guard Damien Lewis in the coming season, but the fourth-round rookie still has OTAs, camp, and the preseason to stake his claim to a starting role to begin 2023.

  • Bradford (6’4/337) was a 4-star recruit, and the 12th-ranked offensive guard in the 2019 recruiting class, from Muskegon, Michigan according to 247 Sports. Bradford has an exceedingly thick lower half, especially when compared to his average upper half, that should eventually lend itself to giving a good base for anchoring or driving defenders off the ball. For now, the LSU mauler is a raw athlete with good heft at about average height. His 92nd percentile 10-yard split time turned heads considering the amount of mass that he needs to move to get going. He has good sustain on his blocks as is active on the inside always looking for work. Whenever there is a body being thrown to the turf in the trenches, Bradford is usually on either side of the exchange. With his size, a coach will clamor to select Bradford. However, he will need development getting from block to block, because once he gets his hands on a defender, he can at least survive and at most get a pancake.

  • SEA Safety #24
Via the Colts’ website: “The 6-foot-1, 196-pound Thomas recorded 50 tackles, one tackle for a loss, two interceptions, and 11 pass break-ups in 10 games for Yale in 2021. He had a 48-yard kick return score against Cornell in his final collegiate season.”

  • Bradford (6'5/320) took official visits to both Tennessee and LSU this spring, though neither trip was widely reported. The Muskegon, Michigan, native is something of an old soul and does not maintain an active presence on social media. Nor does he own a cell phone. A big, long tackle prospect who shows plenty of moxie on his feet when moving laterally, Bradford could potentially play either guard or right tackle with the Tigers after he puts pen to paper. His upside position will likely come on the interior of the line, though. Rivals ranks him as the No. 186 overall prospect in the 2019 class.
  • “The way Bradford moves at [6-foot-5, 320 pounds] is remarkable, and he handled two smaller, quicker defensive ends with ease during the one-on-one session (in camp),” Helmholdt writes. While his size would seem more of a fit for the interior of the line, Helmholdt passes along that LSU plans on starting him out at right tackle. His athleticism makes that possible. On the Rivals rankings board for the 2019 cycle, Bradford ranks as the No. 186 overall prospect in the class.
  • Bradford (6'5/325) notched a career-best at the bar while taking part in the premiere camp in Atlanta on Thursday. His 31 reps rivaled what we saw from NFL-caliber offensive linemen at the combine in the winter. To wit, the only prospects in Indianapolis who would have topped his 31 hoists of the bar would have been Will Hernandez (37 reps), Quenton Nelson (35), Braden Smith (35) and Colby Gossett (32). That Bradford is already comparably in range with those players is impressive given that he has not yet even embarked on his senior year of high school. Rivals ranks Bradford as the No. 124 overall prospect in the 2019 class.

Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett (hip) was a full practice participant on Wednesday.

Brissett seemingly dealt with an injury in the Cardinals’ Week 2 loss against the Seahawks, but played through it. He opens the week listed with a hip injury but was a full practice participant. Though Brissett seems to have a hip issue ailing him, it does not seem like it will keep him from playing. The veteran remains in the low-end QB2 conversation for Week 3 against the 49ers.

49ers WR Demarcus Robinson (ankle) did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.

Robinson suffered an ankle injury in the 49ers’ Week 2 win over the Dolphins. The initial diagnosis was that the veteran would miss some time and his DNP designation Wednesday indicates just that. With Mike Evans (hip) also not practicing, the 49ers’ receiving corps is getting thinner than it already was.

Seahawks WR Cooper Kupp (back) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Kupp also opened last week with a limited practice due to the back injury before getting in two full practices and playing in Week 2. His limited designation Wednesday is likely a continuation of veteran workload management for his back; fantasy managers should not be surprised to see the 33-year-old limited on Wednesdays this season.

Commanders RB Kaytron Allen (hip) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Allen popped up on the injury report as a limited participant due to a hip injury. The rookie has seen limited touches as the Commanders’ third-string back and is still buried in the depth chart. Also limited was WR Jaylin Lane (groin). Lane is likely to play as he played through the injury in Week 2. Allen’s status is up in the air; practice reports from later in the week will paint a clearer picture.

Commanders TE Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.

Okonkwo did not play in Week 2 due to a hamstring injury and now opens this week not practicing. The 27-year-old suffered the injury in Week 1 and has yet to return to practice since then. The Commanders’ tight end depth chart is thin and neither John Bates or Ben Sinnott are worth rostering with Jayden Daniels out.

Commanders DT Javon Kinlaw (back/shoulder) did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.

Kinlaw dealt with a back injury last week but played in Week 2. He came out of the loss against the Cowboys with an additional injury to the shoulder. Kinlaw’s status for Week 3 is in question as he sits out of practice with back and shoulder issues.

Seahawks RB Jadarian Price (chest) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Price entered Wednesday expected to practice and officially received a limited designation due to a chest injury he suffered in Week 2. Also limited was George Holani (knee). With both backs starting out limited, their Week 3 statuses are up in the air. If one or both can’t go, Emanuel Wilson is the primary beneficiary for fantasy purposes against the Commanders.

Seahawks QB Sam Darnold (glute) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Darnold was officially listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday, returning to practice for the first time since his opening day injury. He split first-team reps with Drew Lock and did some throwing off to the side. The Seahawks will make a decision Friday on Darnold’s game status for Week 3 but the 29-year-old has an outside chance of returning against the Commanders.

Bills DT Ed Oliver (hip) did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.

Oliver suffered a hip injury during warmups of the Bills’ Week 2 win over the Lions. He did not play in the game and now starts out Week 3 not practice. Oliver could certainly still go this week against the Chargers but he will likely need at least a limited practice to be in consideration to play.

Bills WR Keon Coleman (ankle) did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.

Coleman pops up on the injury report with an ankle injury and did not practice on Wednesday. He briefly left the Bills’ Week 2 game against the Lions due to the ankle, but returned and finished the game. Coleman’s status for Week 3 is now in jeopardy; with DJ Moore (shoulder) also on the injury report, the Bills’ wide receiver groups may look slim come Sunday against the Chargers.
