Amon-Ra St. Brown caught 4-of-8 targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in the Lions’ Week 3 win over the Jets.

St. Brown couldn’t get much going other than a handful of check-downs in this game, but he saved his fantasy backers with an end zone fade for six to close the first half. Despite the quiet showing, St. Brown still led the team in targets, tied with Jahmyr Gibbs at eight apiece. He’s now up to five touchdowns on the season. St. Brown isn’t quite in the WR1 overall mix right now, but he’s not far behind for his Week 4 matchup with Carolina.

St. Brown did not catch his first pass until six minutes left in the second quarter but was the primary cog of the offense after the break as the Lions worked to overcome multiple 17-point deficits. He found paint for the first time on the team’s first possession after the break before adding a second in the two-minute drill from 27 yards out. St. Brown now has 209 yards and four touchdowns on 19 receptions through two games an looks every bit of the elite WR1 fantasy managers invested a first-round pick into this offseason. Although volume through the air might be more difficult to come by in Week 3, St. Brown remains a top-tier WR1 when the Lions host the Jets in Detroit.

The Lions couldn’t get their deep passing game going, but that’s not an issue for St. Brown. He simply racked up a 36 percent target share including plenty of red zone and work and paid off in a big way for fantasy managers. The Saints’ frantic comeback also pushed the pace of the game, juicing the fantasy scores of everyone involved. With another shootout versus the Bills on tap for Week 2, St. Brown will remain near the top of the wide receiver ranks next week.

According to Over the Cap, the Lions created $35.68 million in cap space. Detroit is now second in the NFL in cap space with around $38 million, which can either be used this year or carry over to 2027. While a big in-season move could come closer to the trade deadline, Lions GM Brad Holmes recently reiterated the organization’s interest in giving contract extensions, which would begin in 2027, to TE Sam LaPorta and S Brian Branch.

The Lions are retaining “all” of last year’s play-calling verbiage, and “it was on Drew Petzing to learn the offense,” not the other way around. Goff apparently “had as much of a hand in getting Petzing familiar with the offense as the offensive staff did.” Mays believes these developments speak to the command, agency and autonomy that Goff possesses at this stage in his career. We agree. For those who were concerned about the Lions scrapping the tactics that coach Dan Campbell employed as the Lions’ play caller in Weeks 10-18 last year, it sounds like those concepts aren’t going anywhere. Will Petzing be allowed to add his own elements to that playbook? Yes, we assume so. At the end of the day, this year’s offense could look a lot like last year’s fantasy-friendly unit, though. Draft accordingly.

This will be the sixth regular season NFL game played in Germany as part of the league’s international series. It will feature Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, a German-American and the centerpiece of the Detroit offense. Last year St. Brown was fifth in receiving yards and fourth in wideout receptions. The Lions will be looking to bounce back from a relatively disappointing 2025 campaign after losing OC Ben Johnson to the Bears.

St. Brown made good on a lofty draft ADP entering the 2025 regular season, finishing as the overall WR4 in both total PPR points and points per game, behind only Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Ja’Marr Chase. He brought one of the most consistent weekly floors while also contributing three games of 29.9 PPR points or more, peaking with a 41.4-point eruption in the first week of fantasy playoffs in Week 15. St. Brown amassed a sparkling 1,401 yards on 117 receptions while adding 11 touchdowns, marking the third consecutive season with at least 1,263 yards and 10 scores. Continue treating St. Brown as a locked-in WR1 ahead of his sixth professional season.

Dan Campbell said that St. Brown is trending towards playing earlier today. He should be considered on the optimistic side of questionable. He’s on the WR1 line in fantasy leagues that are still going in Week 18, but could be at risk of sitting later in the game if things get out of hand in one way or the other as the Lions have nothing to play for.

St. Brown was limited in Thursday’s practice and figures to be out there on the practice field again Friday given Campbell’s comments. The 26-year-old wide receiver is as tough as they come, which he showed earlier in the season as he played through an ankle sprain against the Cowboys. While the game against the Bears means nothing for the Lions, who’ve already been eliminated from the playoffs, St. Brown is hyper-aware of what his statistics mean in the grand scheme of things. While St. Brown has already secured a Pro Bowl nod this year, surely he wants to have a big game in hopes of making the All-Pro team as well. While it’s possible the Lions shut him down in the second half, expect St. Brown to be involved heavily early in this one.

It’s an upgrade from a Wednesday DNP. St. Brown will have some re-injury/blowout risk on Sunday if he just isn’t able to gut it out in a meaningless game against the Bears, but he appears to be trending towards playing. He likely belongs on the WR1 line if he is able to play, though perhaps as more of a mid-range option given the potential of a mid-game shutdown.
  • DET Wide Receiver #14
St. Brown has already played without practicing this season, so sitting out on Wednesday should not induce panic. That said, Lions head coach Dan Campbell did say that they would shut down St. Brown if they believe he is setting himself up for “long-term risk” by playing through his current injuries. He should be considered truly questionable to play at this time, though St. Brown does tend to play through injuries. Stay tuned.

Ravens DL Trey Hendrickson (finger) underwent surgery and will not play in Baltimore’s Week 4 game against the Titans.

Jesse Minter announced the news and did not provide a timetable for a return. Hendrickson had played through the ailment in Weeks 2 and 3. It’s plausible that he’s back in Week 5 assuming this wasn’t a major procedure, and if he was going to miss one game, the Titans game would be the one to miss.

Justin Jefferson (ankle) was not spotted at Friday’s practice.

Jefferson has not practiced this week and will likely be ruled out for Week 4’s game in the near future. While his injury is not believed to be serious, the Vikings would likely prefer not to risk further injury in a home game against the Dolphins that they can win without him. We’ll check back in with an update once head coach Kevin O’Connell has a chance to speak with media, but there’s a good chance Jordan Addison and Jauan Jennings will serve as the Vikings’ top two receivers this week.

Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) will not play in New England’s Week 4 game against the Bills.

Gonzalez did not practice at any point this week after popping up on the injury report Wednesday; his status seems to be in doubt for Week 5 at this point as well. The Patriots also ruled out DT Christian Barmore. They’ll be without their best coverage player against the Bills, elevating the matchup for D.J. Moore.

Rachaad White (shoulder) will not play in Washington’s Week 4 game against the Colts.

He didn’t practice at any point this week after suffering a shoulder injury in Week 3. He has to be considered questionable for Week 5 at this point. ‘Bill’ Croskey-Merritt figures to shoulder the majority of the workload for the Commanders this week and is a reasonable FLEX play against the Colts. Freshly-signed Austin Ekeler figures to handle third-down work.

Terry McLaurin (hamstring) is questionable for Washington’s Week 4 game against the Colts.

He was, grimly, a late add to the injury report on Friday with a hamstring issue. We’re sure will get more on this as the day goes on, but McLaurin-reliant managers should make sure to have a backup plan in place ahead of Sunday morning’s first European football game of the season.

Caleb Williams (hamstring) will not play in Week 4 against the Jets.

Williams was never believed to have a real shot at playing, but the Bears officially ruled him out on Friday. Tyson Bagent has reportedly taken all of the first-team snaps in practice this week, but Ben Johnson may wait until kickoff to reveal who his starter will be on Sunday, with both Bagent and Case Keenum expected to be active. We’ll see if Williams’ status improves for Week 5’s game against the Packers.

Bears head coach Ben Johnson said he is optimistic that D’Andre Swift (knee) will play in Week 4 against the Jets.

Swift popped up as a DNP on Thursday’s injury report, but Johnson said his RB1 will practice on Friday. We’ll see where things go from here, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Swift drew a questionable designation entering the weekend. Swift has rushed 54 times for 253 yards and three touchdowns this season while also catching eight passes for 68 scoreless yards. If he is unable to play in Week 4, Kyle Monangai would be firmly on the fantasy radar as a strong RB2.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Browns DT Mason Graham will miss a few weeks with an MCL sprain and an ankle sprain.

“The MRI revealed some good news,” per Rapoport, who added that the hope is these are not long-term injuries for the second-year lineman. While Graham does have two injuries he will need to work his way back from, it’s fair to say this is an encouraging sign after he was seen on crutches and sporting a knee brace after Week 4’s win over the Steelers. If Graham is placed on injured reserve, he would be required to miss at least the next four games. He has totaled 15 tackles, six TFLs, and four sacks thus far for the Browns in what is shaping up to be a breakout season for the former No. 5 overall pick.

Xavier Legette (knee) will not play in Week 4 against the Lions.

Legette will miss a second straight game with his knee injury. He has caught just two passes for 64 yards on six targets this season and wouldn’t be on the fantasy radar even if he were active. In addition to Legette, the Panthers also ruled out OG Damien Lewis (elbow) for Week 4 against the Lions while OT Monroe Freeling (concussion), DT Lee Hunter (foot), and DT Cam Jackson (knee) were all listed as questionable.

Jalen Coker (quad) is questionable for Week 4 against the Lions.

After being a DNP on Wednesday, Coker logged back-to-back limited practices to close out the week. Coker played through an ankle injury in Weeks 2 and 3, and will likely play through his quad injury this week in a Sunday night matchup against the Lions. Hopefully we’ll get more clarity on his availability later in the weekend, but for now, we expect him to play. That said, managers would be wise to stash a Sunday/Monday night emergency option in the unlikely event Coker is ruled out when inactives are announced 90 minutes before kickoff.
