DJ Moore (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Moore played through the shoulder injury last week and managed to bring down 6-of-10 targets for 67 yards. He led the team in every notable receiving category. Even if he isn’t at full strength, Moore is locked in as a WR2 for Week 4 versus New England.
Why the Eagles aren't working this season
Ross Tucker joins Dan Patrick and dives into Justin Herbert's impact on the Rams, why despite having a 'loaded' roster and team, it's just not clicking for the Eagles this season, and early Superbowl predictions.

Moore’s absence leaves only Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, Greg Dortch, and Skyler Bell as healthy wide receivers on the active roster with Joshua Palmer also sidelined. Expect heavy snap rates for Coleman and Shakir alongside tight end Dalton Kincaid, with the possibility the team elevates their 12-personnel rates through the inclusion of Dawson Knox. Also inactive for the Bills are WR Joshua Palmer, OL Jude Bowry, OL Ar’maj Reed-Adams, DL Ed Oliver DL, Landon Jackson, and NCB Dee Alford.

Moore failed to practice until Saturday after aggravating a shoulder injury in Week 4, returning to the field in a limited capacity while wearing a red non-contact jersey. That was apparently enough to keep the door open for an appearance on Monday Night Football against the Rams, although he certainly appears to be on the wrong side of the questionable tag. Fantasy managers would be wise to seek alternate options considering the timing of the game.

This is the first time Moore has returned to the practice field after aggravating a shoulder injury in Week 4. Still no word on his game-day injury status, which will come later in the afternoon, but it a small step in the right direction for the veteran receiver. Fantasy managers likely want to continue the search for alternatives with the Bills playing on Monday Night Football.

The Bills’ No. 1 wide receiver is on the wrong side of questionable for his team’s Monday Night Football game against the Rams. Moore sprained the AC joint in his left shoulder in Week 2. He aggravated it in Week 4 with a hard fall and was unable to continue playing. If active, Moore will be a risk-reward WR2.

Joe Brady is quoted as saying that if Moore feels he’s healthy enough to play, he “owes it to the WR to let him be out there.” It’s not exactly a quote that inspires a lot of confidence in Moore’s availability for Monday night’s matchup with the Rams after he left Week 4’s game due to landing on the shoulder. We would regard Moore as on the doubtful side of questionable at this point, but there’s time to turn that around on Friday and Saturday.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #2
Moore landed on his left shoulder while trying to make the catch on a pass in the second quarter. It’s the same shoulder that he injured in the Week 2 win over the Lions. Obviously, the fact that it’s the same shoulder is not a great sign, as is Moore’s long injury history. We should get an update at halftime, but Keon Coleman figures to step into a larger role for the remainder of the game. Moore had just one catch for 11 yards before leaving with his injury.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #2
He’ll be good to go against the Christian Gonzalez-less Patriots. Moore is evidently still dealing with some soreness as he practiced in a non-contact jersey at points this week, but he’ll be a worthy WR2 in an elevated matchup.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #2
Moore is again on track to play through his AC joint sprain, though the injury is still limiting him to some degree. Regardless, the Bills face the Patriots this weekend, and CB1 Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) has not yet practiced this week. Moore is a WR2 entering Week 4.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #2
Despite being questionable coming into the day with a shoulder injury, Moore led the team in targets, catches, and receiving yards. He played 42 of the team’s 62 snaps and ran a route on 24 of the 33 dropbacks. That’s the highest share of any receiver on the team. The Bills weren’t able to hit many shots down the field, but Moore was the target on key conversions and is the clear top target in Buffalo. He will be a WR2 in a tough matchup against the Patriots next week.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #2
Both DJ Moore (shoulder) and Keon Coleman (ankle) were listed as questionable on the final injury report, but both of them will suit up to play. There’s a chance that they could have their snap share managed as they play through injuries, but we’d have to assume they’re both relatively healthy if the Bills are going to put both of them on the field in an early-season matchup. You may just see a little more Khalil Shakir and Josh Palmer usage than normal. Moore remains the receiver with the most fantasy upside and could be a low-end WR2 with Shakir also being a solid WR3 in PPR formats given his role as a lower aDOT target-earner.

Bengals OC Dan Pitcher said the team will “continually assess how that touch share between [Perine] and Chase Brown should play out.”

Pitcher suggested that when they run the ball more from shotgun — as they did last week against the Dolphins — Perine’s a better fit for those kinds of plays. The Bengals spent a lot of time this offseason working on an under center run game to get Brown more explosives, but that has gone for naught early on in the season. We may indeed see more Perine in Cincinnati’s running game after they return from the bye week, lowering Brown into the RB2 range.

Jordan Schultz reports the Browns would like a third or fourth-round pick for WR Jerry Jeudy but he’s not sure they’ll be able to get it.

We, too, would like to simply be given valuable things for no reason. Jeudy has fallen off the fantasy map enough that we’re now simply blurbing trade possibilities for him. The 27-year-old’s only real fantasy value at this point is hoping he gets traded somewhere where he can get involved again.

Panthers coach Dave Canales said Jalen Coker (quad) is “on track” to play in Carolina’s Week 6 game against the Eagles.

Coker was spotted practicing on Tuesday (there will be no injury report for this one) and seems like he’s well on track to return. He’ll be a fringe WR2/WR3 against the Eagles in Week 6.

ESPN’s Todd Archer reports the Cowboys are expected to re-sign RB Emari Demercado.

He’ll apparently get a 53-man roster spot after some roster machinations over the next few days. Demercado has lost the backup job to Tyler Goodson and doesn’t need to factor into any fantasy calculations at this time.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Jauan Jennings “would be a name for me to keep an eye on” for the 49ers.

Jennings has been a major disappointment in Minnesota, falling behind Tai Felton on the depth chart. A small stakes trade could make sense for the 49ers, who are down to hoping Brandin Cooks can provide for Brock Purdy in a major rash of injuries.

Eagles DC Vic Fangio said it would take “something miraculous” for DE Jalyx Hunt (ankle) to play in Week 6.

The Eagles defense is one of the better units in the NFL, but it has been quite banged up of late and losing Hunt here is not ideal. We’ll see if they can blot out Bryce Young’s strong start with the Panthers in Week 6.

Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh said Tre’ Harris (hamstring) is “more of a week-to-week [thing].”

Harris will probably have a real chance to play in Week 8, after the Chargers’ Week 7 bye. He thudded to a 16-yard outing in his big chance last week with Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey out and doesn’t necessarily need to be rostered if you’re in a bye week crunch.
