Tony Pollard (ankle) practiced in full on Thursday.

The full practice keeps him as a potential RB2/FLEX option against the Ravens for Week 4. Pollard dominated reps in Week 3 with Tyjae Spears active as a game-time decision. Spears looks to be a little better this week, but Pollard should be at the head of the committee still in Week 4.

Pollard was wildly inefficient in this one, but saved his fantasy day when he scored a three-yard touchdown in the first quarter to give the Titans their first points of the day. It was the first touchdown of the season for Pollard, who continues to serve as the Titans’ primary back, but there’s not much fantasy upside to be had here. Pollard will be a boom-or-bust RB3 next week against the Texans.
  • TEN Running Back #20
Schefter didn’t cite any sources telling him that Pollard could be on the move, but he did connect a few key dots. Pollard is in the final year of his contract and the Titans are going nowhere fast. If they don’t plan on re-signing him next offseason, they might as well get something in return for him in the middle of another lost season. His departure would also clear the way for rookie Nick Singleton to see more work.
  • TEN Running Back #20
With Titans RB2 Tyjae Spears (ankle) questionable to play, Pollard could end up handling a big workload. Unfortunately, the Titans field an unproductive offense and face the Ravens this week. He can only be viewed as a moderate FLEX starter.
  • TEN Running Back #20
Neither did Tyjae Spears, who is also dealing with an ankle issue. Both backs played through their injuries last week and head coach Robert Saleh said today that he isn’t concerned about either of them missing Week 4. The Titans held them out of last Wednesday’s practice as well, so this seems to be the new norm for the backfield tandem. Pollard remains a volume-based RB3 after seeing 21 touches last week. Spears is nothing more than a backup right now.
  • TEN Running Back #20
Pollard handled all but three of the running back carries in this contest and was the only Titans running back to earn a target. Tyjae Spears was a game-time decision because of an ankle injury and was likely on some sort of pitch count, shifting the bulk of the touches to Pollard. The role was great, but the fantasy production was lacking. That has been a theme for Titans players over the past few years. Pollard is capable of earning an RB2 workload but will ultimately project for RB3 fantasy numbers when the Titans take on the Ravens next week.
  • TEN Running Back #20
Pollard being upgraded to a full participant on Friday suggests he will be removed from the injury report heading into the weekend. Pollard has rushed 21 times for 99 yards this season while adding another two receptions on three targets. With rain expected in Sunday’s forecast, the Titans could lean heavily on Pollard and the ground game against a Giants team that’s allowing 5.0 yards per carry through two games.
  • TEN Running Back #20
Pollard could be in line for a boost if he plays and Tyjae Spears sits, as the Titans haven’t really shown much interest in using their other running backs so far. Nicholas Singleton played just six snaps last week. Pollard missed practice Wednesday but seems to be in line to play after today’s session.
  • TEN Running Back #20
We were told earlier today that Pollard and Spears are “dealing with some soreness.” Now we know what ails them. The Titans field an unexciting offense, but on the off chance that both Pollard and Spears are unable to play, rookie RB Nicholas Singleton would theoretically be in line for a sizable workload against the Giants this week. Stay tuned.
  • TEN Running Back #20
Though it shouldn’t cost them Week 3’s game against the Giants, their practice participation will be worth monitoring in the coming days. Through two games, Pollard leads the team with 21 carries while Spears leads the backfield in pass routes and targets. Both backs are borderline options in deeper fantasy leagues in Week 3. The Giants have allowed the second highest rate of rush yards before contact through two weeks.
  • TEN Running Back #20
Pollard “added” a one-yard reception. Although Pollard out-carried Tyjae Spears 14-7, the backs were rotating frequently. Pro Football Focus did chart Pollard as winning the snaps battle 29-19, with his touches advantage resting at 15-9. Rookie Nicholas Singleton also mixed in for four carries. All in all, it was a better day than Pollard had in Week 1, but it is going to be so difficult for him to create consistent FLEX value in this awful offense with Spears rotating in as frequently as he does.

John Metchie caught 3-of-5 targets for 37 yards in the Panthers’ Week 4 win over the Lions.

Metchie operated as the WR2 in the absence of both Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette but was unable to return any fantasy utility on a night second-year receiver Tetairoa McMillan set new career highs in both receptions and yardage. Fantasy managers that were coaxed into adding Metchie through the injuries in Carolina can safely return him to the waiver from whence he came.

Darren Waller caught 3-of-6 targets for 36 yards in the Panthers’ Week 4 win over the Lions.

Waller saw minimal involvement as quarterback Bryce Young leaned into his top option through the air, feeding Tetairoa McMillan 16 targets on 41 pass attempts in the absence of both Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette. Fantasy managers that scooped Waller off of waivers following his two-touchdown game in Week 2 are surely left disappointed in the recent returns, making Waller a potential drop candidate as the Panthers head to their bye.

Tetairoa McMillan caught 14-of-16 targets for 192 yards and two touchdowns in the Panthers’ Week 4 win over the Lions.

McMillan set career highs in both receptions and yardage in the first half with nine catches for 147 yards before the break. He operated as the clear alpha in a pass attack without both Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette, routinely dusting everyone the Lions had at their disposal in an injury-ravaged secondary. While the receiving line surely turns heads, fantasy managers were left even more ecstatic about the way in which he was utilized, with the second-year receiver catching six passes for 94 yards and both touchdowns while aligned in the slot. Offensive coordinator Brad Idzik is providing structure, sequencing, and situational tendencies unlike anything fans had grown accustomed to when head coach Dave Canales was helming the offense, resulting in quarterback Bryce Young leading the league in passing while averaging more than 30 points per game through the first month of play. McMillan’s ceiling remains sky-high as a legitimate WR1 when the Panthers square off against the Eagles fin Week 6 following their bye.

Chuba Hubbard rushed 20 times for 122 yards and two touchdowns in the Panthers’ Week 4 win over the Lions, adding seven yards on one reception.

Hubbard’s successes on the ground allowed the Panthers to remain balanced on a night they were without two of their top three wide receivers due to the absences of Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette, cashing in on two scores from 15 and two yards out. Hubbard appears to be locked into an RB1 workload in the absence of Jonathan Brooks, who will be out for 6-8 weeks after undergoing core muscle surgery. His 26 opportunities dwarfed the six of current backup AJ Dillon, the latter of whom gained just seven total yards on six touches. Fantasy managers can start Hubbard with confidence when the team returns from their bye to face the Eagles in Week 6.

Bryce Young completed 29-of-41 passes for 329 yards and two touchdowns in the Panthers’ Week 4 win over the Lions, adding three yards on three carries.

The NFL’s passing leader through four weeks, pending Monday Night Football, took complete advantage of a defense still working to find their identity through the first month of play, leaning on his top option in Tetairoa McMillan throughout. Young now leads the league in passing and can only be caught by Tyler Shough on Monday Night Football, while only Kirk Cousins and Brock Purdy have more touchdown passes than Young’s nine. Even more impressive was the fact that he did what he did to the Lions without two of his top three receivers with both Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette out of action in Week 4. Young and the Panthers head to their Week 5 bye at 2-2 and alone atop the NFC South, soon to be joined by the winner on Monday night. He’ll be a legitimate QB1 when he returns to action against the Eagles in Week 6.

Sam LaPorta caught 8-of-13 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in the Lions’ Week 4 loss to the Panthers.

LaPorta was the primary beneficiary against the single-high-heavy Panthers, which was interesting considering both of Carolina’s top two corners were absent from this game. The 13 targets were easily a season high for the veteran tight end, primarily the result of 52 Jared Goff pass attempts in what would become a negative game script. LaPorta routinely found space behind the linebackers as the primary outlet through pressure for Goff, and while it remains unlikely he repeats the lofty target totals, LaPorta’s red zone acumen keeps him a fantasy TE1 ahead of a very different matchup in the two-high-heavy Cardinals in Week 5.

Amon-Ra St. Brown caught 8-of-11 targets for 75 yards in the Lions’ Week 4 loss to the Panthers.

It was quite the disappointing outing for the fantasy darling considering the Panthers were without their top two corners, with opposing defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero dialing up consistent pressure that caused quarterback Jared Goff fits throughout the evening. Two of Goff’s incompletions that were directed at St. Brown were batted down at the line of scrimmage, ultimately enough to keep St. Brown out of the end zone for the first time this season. St. Brown remains a top-tier WR1 ahead of a potential shootout against the Cardinals in Week 5.

Jameson Williams caught 6-of-8 targets for 102 yards in the Lions’ Week 4 loss to the Panthers.

Fantasy managers had suffered through three down games with the middle-round pick before Williams was able to take advantage of a Carolina secondary missing its top two corners. He was kept out of the end zone for the fourth consecutive contest to start the 2026 season but returned his first fantasy-viable outing on the backs of 52 Jared Goff pass attempts. While that level of volume is unlikely to be the norm for the Lions, a Week 5 meeting with the Cardinals provides another opportunity for Williams to return value in a potential shootout. Williams will be an upside WR3.

Jahmyr Gibbs rushed 15 times for 46 yards and a touchdown in the Lions’ Week 4 loss to the Panthers, adding 31 yards on four receptions.

Gibbs had eclipsed 100 combined yards against all three opponents to start the season before the Panthers held him largely in check, with fantasy’s top asset cashing in on a one-yard touchdown in the second quarter to avoid a disastrous outing. The two teams were knotted at 16 entering the half but it was the Panthers that dictated terms following the break, winning the time of possession battle by over six minutes. Gibbs maintained an elite workload by seeing all but two backfield opportunities and every available carry on the evening, keeping his fantasy value sky-high ahead of a potential shootout against the Cardinals in Week 5.

Jared Goff completed 32-of-52 passes for 412 yards and one touchdown in the Lions’ 32-26, Week 4 loss to the Panthers.

Goff has now thrown a touchdown pass in 27 straight contests, a streak that started in the team’s Thanksgiving day contest against the Bears in 2024. He could move into sixth on the all-time list for consecutive games with a touchdown pass should he throw for at least one touchdown in each game this season. He came within four minutes of breaking that streak against the Panthers, needing a late touchdown to tight end Sam LaPorta to keep it alive in a game the Panthers dictated with their defense throughout. Goff also maintained his clean sheet of no interceptions thrown to start the season but it wasn’t enough to overcome a defense that ceded 445 yards of total offense to a Panthers team without two of their top three wide receivers in Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette. The Lions fall to 2-2, now two games behind the division-leading Vikings through the first month of play. Goff remains a surefire QB1 ahead of a potential shootout against the Cardinals in Week 5.
