Kalif Raymond caught 3-of-4 targets for six yards in the Bears’ Week 5 loss to the Packers.

Raymond’s fast start to the season has now been erased to the tune of just five catches for 12 yards over the past two weeks. Even with Caleb Williams (hamstring) looking likely to return for Week 6 against the Falcons, Raymond’s brief moment in the 2026 fantasy sun has come and gone.
Is Nacua a product of talent or the team?
Dan Le Batard and gang debate on whether Puka Nacua's talent makes him so great, or is it the Rams offense and quarterback that makes anyone in the WR position a star player?

Raymond has now led the Bears in receiving in two of the team’s first three games, with Week 3 his best performance yet on the back of a 41-yard touchdown through busted coverage. It isn’t likely the career role player will lead the team in receiving throughout the season, but the early returns on investment must have fantasy managers ecstatic for those that either drafted him in the final round or scooped him off the wire following Week 1.

For whatever reason, Raymond again lead the Bears’ receiver corps in production, though Luther Burden did out-target him on fewer snaps. Cold comfort. Although Raymond out-snapped Burden, he was on the field 16 fewer plays than Rome Odunze. Pro Football Focus’ Nathan Jahnke charted Raymond as seeing more time in “12" personnel than his sophomore teammate. We would like to say this is bound to change going forward, but coach Ben Johnson had no problem featuring veteran Olamide Zaccheaus in 2025. Raymond is struggling to create WR4 value of his own, but he is certainly hampering Burden and Odunze’s production ahead of Week 3 against the Eagles.

Raymond, who ran a route on 23 of 40 Caleb Williams drop backs, led the Bears in targets, catches, and receiving yards, while Colston Loveland went catchless and Luther Burden was an afterthought. Raymond’s route participation suggests he’ll be a rotational player in the run-first Chicago offense. That should make him a risky option in any sort of fantasy league. Even so, it’s clear Raymond has taken something similar to the D.J. Moore role and could be useful in fantasy this year.

Per Hammond, Odunze “came up hobbling during an install period at the start of practice,” with what appeared to be a right leg injury. Apparently, Odunze “wasn’t overly concerned” and tried to continue practicing, but Bears trainers removed him from the field. That last bit is encouraging. Hopefully, Odunze’s Week 1 availability has not been jeopardized. Bears TE Colston Loveland and WR Luther Burden would benefit if Odunze cannot play. Odunze is backed up by WR Kalif Raymond.

Jahdae Walker could position himself as the No. 3 with a second-year jump, and third-round pick Zavion Thomas is also in the mix. This room will probably split the snaps enough to make them unappealing from a fantasy perspective, but it’s possible someone emerges as a WR4-type.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #11
Raymond was mostly a role player and a special teams standout during his five years in Detroit. Last season Raymond had 24 receptions for 289 yards and a touchdown while drawing three starts for the run-heavy Lions. In Chicago, Raymond — entering his age-32 season — will likely function as a role player in Ben Johnson’s run-centric offense. He could see starter’s snaps if the Bears struggle with receiver injuries in 2026.
  • DET Wide Receiver #18
TeSlaa emerged as a primary option for the Lions in Week 13 after Amon-Ra St. Brown departed with injury, finishing off the back half of his rookie season as the clear WR3 for the Lions. That effectively shifted Kalif Raymond into a situational role, something likely to carry forward into the 2026 season. TeSlaa ends his rookie year with 16 catches for 239 yards, flashing abilities in the red zone through six touchdowns. Although unlikely to immediately see his role grow while playing alongside St. Brown and Jameson Williams, TeSlaa appears likely to step into a bigger role when one of the main receivers goes down. That gives him legitimate best ball upside considering he will be playing for an offense that has finished in the top five in scoring in each of the previous four seasons.
  • DET Wide Receiver #11
Raymond and Isaac TeSlaa split the No. 3 role this week. Both players topped 50 yards and scored. TeSlaa did so on seven targets compared to five for Raymond. Jared Goff compiled 364 yards in a failed comeback bid, allowing multiple ancillary pieces to get home this week. That shouldn’t be the case next week. We don’t recommend starting Raymond or TeSlaa in the fantasy football finals.
  • DET Wide Receiver #11
He was actually shut out until the fourth quarter, as only three Lions even were targeted up until that point. Isaac TeSlaa (39 snaps) received a clear plurality of the third receiver cardio, but bageled on one target. The Lions have done a great job concentrating things on the main pieces and neither Raymond nor TeSlaa are must-starts if they can’t get anywhere close to “there” when the team scores 34 points.
  • DET Wide Receiver #11
Raymond will cut in to Isaac TeSlaa’s fantasy upside. TE Shane Zylstra (knee), RB Sione Vaki (thumb), and OL Taylor Decker (shoulder) are all playing off the questionable line as well. G Kayode Awosika (foot) is out off the questionable line. Also inactive for the Lions are: S Thomas Harper, S Kerby Joseph, DL Tyler Lacy, WR Dominic Lovett, CB Nick Whiteside and DL Mekhi Wingo.

Hearing officer James Thrash upheld 49ers LB Dre Greenlaw’s one-game suspension.

Greenlaw was suspended after he was ejected for headbutting Seahawks LB Ernest Jones during a sideline scuffle in the 49ers’ Week 5 win over the Seahawks. He appealed the suspension, but it has been upheld by hearing officer James Thrash. Greenlaw will miss Week 6 and is in line to return against the Falcons in Week 7.

Rams head coach Sean McVay said EDGE Myles Garrett (knee) won’t have his 21-day practice window opened this week.

Garrett went on injured reserve after Week 1 and is therefore eligible to have his 21-day practice window for activation off IR opened this week. However, McVay said the 30-year-old pass-rusher won’t have his window opened, indicating Garrett is not ready to practice yet and it will still be some time before we see him back on the field. His initial timeline after undergoing a knee scope was roughly six weeks. It’s been four weeks so far, but Garrett could still hit the six-week return timeline if his practice window is opened next week.

Chargers signed QB Jake Browning to the practice squad.

With Trey Lance hitting injured reserve, the Chargers worked out multiple quarterbacks Tuesday, eventually signing Browning. A former backup to Joe Burrow, Browning lost the Buccaneers’ backup job to Jalon Daniels this offseason. He now joins a Chargers team keen on adding some depth behind Justin Herbert with Lance out and DJ Uiagalelei on the 53-man roster.

Broncos CB Riley Moss (ribs) was listed as a limited practice participant on Tuesday.

Moss was ruled out of Week 5 against the Chargers but has a chance to play Week 6 against the Seahawks with back-to-back limited practice listings. Meanwhile, S Talanoa Hufanga (ankle) was a DNP for the second straight day. With Patrick Surtain (ankle) still out in the short term, the Broncos’ banged-up secondary may have a tough time against Jaxon Smith-Njigba and company on Thursday.

Chargers worked out free agent WR JuJu Smith-Schuster on Tuesday.

Smith-Schuster is touring wide receiver-needy teams, working out with the Chargers Monday after visiting the Vikings on Monday. Several other names also worked out for the Chargers, including former 49ers WR Ronnie Bell and quarterbacks Kyle Trask and Jake Browning. With Trey Lance on injured reserve and several Chargers receivers dealing with injuries, the Chargers are looking for reinforcements.

Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (ankle) was listed as a limited practice participant on Tuesday’s estimated injury report.

Smith-Njigba gets a second-straight “limited” practice designation. The Seahawks have technically not practiced yet this week but it is notably the 24-year-old receiver gets back-to-back limited designations. With a Thursday matchup against the Broncos on the horizon for Week 6, the Seahawks are leaving the door open for Smith-Njigba to play; he battled the ankle injury in Week 5 and the short week makes this a tougher evaluation. For now, we still expect Smith-Njigba to play against the Broncos on Thursday.

Texans S Jalen Pitre is week-to-week with an AC joint sprain.

Pitre suffered a left shoulder injury in Week 5, now revealed to be an AC joint sprain. The good news is he won’t require surgery or go on injured reserve, but the 27-year-old is considered “week-to-week.” Given the designation, Pitre seems unlikely to play Week 6 against the Jaguars.

Saints owner Gayle Benson said in a speech that the team’s 1-4 record “is not acceptable to me.”

It appears that Kellen Moore and GM Mickey Loomis are on the hot seat after a surprisingly bad start and a no-show on the 20th anniversary of the return to the dome. We’d be a little surprised if Moore were fired in only the second year of his tenure, without even being given a chance to pick his own franchise quarterback. But most ownership groups would not say something like this out loud, so it’s worth noting.

Turner tore his ACL last October. He’ll likely work in a rotational role for the Bears early. The 23-year-old second-rounder will try to make up for lost time after spending all of camp and the first month of the season on the shelf.

Rams LT Alaric Jackson has been suspended two games for punching Bills EDGE Bradley Chubb after Los Angeles’ Week 5 loss.

Jackson, notably, was not suspended before the season despite his domestic violence charge. We’ll likely see an appeal here. David Quessenberry would likely be the next man up for the Rams at tackle.
