Kalif Raymond caught 8-of-9 targets for 89 yards in the Bears’ Week 1 win against the Panthers.

Raymond, who ran a route on 23 of 40 Caleb Williams drop backs, led the Bears in targets, catches, and receiving yards, while Colston Loveland went catchless and Luther Burden was an afterthought. Raymond’s route participation suggests he’ll be a rotational player in the run-first Chicago offense. That should make him a risky option in any sort of fantasy league. Even so, it’s clear Raymond has taken something similar to the D.J. Moore role and could be useful in fantasy this year.

Raymond’s fast start to the season has now been erased to the tune of just five catches for 12 yards over the past two weeks. Even with Caleb Williams (hamstring) looking likely to return for Week 6 against the Falcons, Raymond’s brief moment in the 2026 fantasy sun has come and gone.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #14
Raymond has now led the Bears in receiving in two of the team’s first three games, with Week 3 his best performance yet on the back of a 41-yard touchdown through busted coverage. It isn’t likely the career role player will lead the team in receiving throughout the season, but the early returns on investment must have fantasy managers ecstatic for those that either drafted him in the final round or scooped him off the wire following Week 1.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #14
For whatever reason, Raymond again lead the Bears’ receiver corps in production, though Luther Burden did out-target him on fewer snaps. Cold comfort. Although Raymond out-snapped Burden, he was on the field 16 fewer plays than Rome Odunze. Pro Football Focus’ Nathan Jahnke charted Raymond as seeing more time in “12" personnel than his sophomore teammate. We would like to say this is bound to change going forward, but coach Ben Johnson had no problem featuring veteran Olamide Zaccheaus in 2025. Raymond is struggling to create WR4 value of his own, but he is certainly hampering Burden and Odunze’s production ahead of Week 3 against the Eagles.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #15
Per Hammond, Odunze “came up hobbling during an install period at the start of practice,” with what appeared to be a right leg injury. Apparently, Odunze “wasn’t overly concerned” and tried to continue practicing, but Bears trainers removed him from the field. That last bit is encouraging. Hopefully, Odunze’s Week 1 availability has not been jeopardized. Bears TE Colston Loveland and WR Luther Burden would benefit if Odunze cannot play. Odunze is backed up by WR Kalif Raymond.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #14
Jahdae Walker could position himself as the No. 3 with a second-year jump, and third-round pick Zavion Thomas is also in the mix. This room will probably split the snaps enough to make them unappealing from a fantasy perspective, but it’s possible someone emerges as a WR4-type.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #11
Raymond was mostly a role player and a special teams standout during his five years in Detroit. Last season Raymond had 24 receptions for 289 yards and a touchdown while drawing three starts for the run-heavy Lions. In Chicago, Raymond — entering his age-32 season — will likely function as a role player in Ben Johnson’s run-centric offense. He could see starter’s snaps if the Bears struggle with receiver injuries in 2026.
  • DET Wide Receiver #18
TeSlaa emerged as a primary option for the Lions in Week 13 after Amon-Ra St. Brown departed with injury, finishing off the back half of his rookie season as the clear WR3 for the Lions. That effectively shifted Kalif Raymond into a situational role, something likely to carry forward into the 2026 season. TeSlaa ends his rookie year with 16 catches for 239 yards, flashing abilities in the red zone through six touchdowns. Although unlikely to immediately see his role grow while playing alongside St. Brown and Jameson Williams, TeSlaa appears likely to step into a bigger role when one of the main receivers goes down. That gives him legitimate best ball upside considering he will be playing for an offense that has finished in the top five in scoring in each of the previous four seasons.
  • DET Wide Receiver #11
Raymond and Isaac TeSlaa split the No. 3 role this week. Both players topped 50 yards and scored. TeSlaa did so on seven targets compared to five for Raymond. Jared Goff compiled 364 yards in a failed comeback bid, allowing multiple ancillary pieces to get home this week. That shouldn’t be the case next week. We don’t recommend starting Raymond or TeSlaa in the fantasy football finals.
  • DET Wide Receiver #11
He was actually shut out until the fourth quarter, as only three Lions even were targeted up until that point. Isaac TeSlaa (39 snaps) received a clear plurality of the third receiver cardio, but bageled on one target. The Lions have done a great job concentrating things on the main pieces and neither Raymond nor TeSlaa are must-starts if they can’t get anywhere close to “there” when the team scores 34 points.
  • DET Wide Receiver #11
Raymond will cut in to Isaac TeSlaa’s fantasy upside. TE Shane Zylstra (knee), RB Sione Vaki (thumb), and OL Taylor Decker (shoulder) are all playing off the questionable line as well. G Kayode Awosika (foot) is out off the questionable line. Also inactive for the Lions are: S Thomas Harper, S Kerby Joseph, DL Tyler Lacy, WR Dominic Lovett, CB Nick Whiteside and DL Mekhi Wingo.

Devonta Smith (hamstring/toe) did not practice Wednesday.

Smith was already reported to be working off to the side on Wednesday, but he now adds a toe injury to his existing hamstring injury on the official practice report. Given he is not practicing yet and a new injury is added to his designation, Smith is currently trending in the wrong direction for Week 6 against the Panthers.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba (ankle) has no injury designation ahead of the Seahawks’ Week 6 game against the Broncos.

Smith-Njigba played through an ankle injury in Week 5 and was limited in practice this week before getting a full designation on Wednesday. Despite the short week ahead of a Thursday matchup against the Broncos, he is off the injury report and good to go. Smith-Njigba is once again a top-three wide receiver option for Week 6.

Derwin James (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday.

CB Donte Jackson (hamstring) also did not practice. Neither player played in Week 5 and both will need at least a limited practice before they can be considered questionable for Week 6 against the Chiefs.

Quentin Johnston (chest) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Johnston, KeAndre Lambert-Smith (hamstring), Brenen Thompson (quad), and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (rib) were all limited Wednesday. Lambert-Smith currently has his practice window for return from IR open while the others are dealing with a varying level of ailments. Johnston is the best fantasy option out of this group, but he is only worth FLEX consideration in the deepest of leagues. With Ladd McConkey (foot) also limited, the Chargers have several “maybes” ahead of a Week 6 matchup against the Chiefs.

Joe Alt (neck) did not practice Wednesday.

Alt missed Week 5 after not practicing last week and opens up Week 6 as a non-participant. Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh said Tuesday that Alt would visit a specialist for his neck injury. G Kayode Awosika (fibula) is also still sidelined. Justin Herbert’s offensive line looks like it will still be missing both players this week; the Chiefs’ defensive line will have a good day against the inexperienced depth that will start for the Chargers.

Kyle Monangai (thumb/toe) did not practice Wednesday.

Monangai missed Week 5 due to thumb and toe injuries; he did not practice all of last week and was estimated as a non-participant for the Bears’ Wednesday walk-through. A DNP listing after already missing a week is not a good sign for the 24-year-old’s availability. Starter D’Andre Swift (hip) was notably not on the injury report. Monangai will need to practice to have a chance to play but fantasy managers will need to start looking at backup Roschon Johnson as a potential fill-in for Week 6 against the Falcons.

Moss missed Week 5 due to a rib injury but has a chance to return Thursday against the Seahawks after three straight limited practices this week. CB Patrick Surtain (ankle) and S Talanoa Hufanga (ankle) did not practice all week and were ruled out, as expected.

Zach Charbonnet (knee) will be out for the Seahawks’ Week 6 game against the Broncos.

Charbonnet was already expected to miss Week 6, so no surprise here. The Seahawks also ruled out LB Drake Thomas and LB Chazz Surratt. There are no other players with injury designations heading into Seattle’s Thursday showdown against the Broncos.

Eli Stowers (quad) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.

Stowers had his 21-day practice window opened after he started the season on the injured reserve due to hamstring and quad injury. The Eagles also opened fellow TE Grant Calcaterra’s practice window; Calcaterra was also limited due to a back injury. Both have a chance to return Week 6 against the Panthers or Week 7 against the Cowboys.
