Tyler Steen (shoulder) returned to the Eagles’ Week 5 game against the Jaguars.

Steen left with the shoulder issue earlier in the game and was listed as questionable to return. Fred Johnson took his spot at right guard for a few drives. While the Eagles are still down several key names due to injury, Steen is no longer among them.

Right guard Tyler Steen is questionable to return with a shoulder injury. Philly came into this game without several key players because of injuries. Now they will be without even more players on both sides of the ball.
  • PHI Tackle #77
The report comes from ESPN’s Tim McManus. The fact that Becton was allowed to continue practicing for some time despite the evident limp could indicate the team is managing a known issue but it’s a negative development overall. Becton projects to start in place of injured OG Tyler Steen (ankle) at least in the short term. Becton plays with a brace on his right knee, stemming from a pair of kneecap injuries. He suffered cartilage damage following a 2021 kneecap dislocation. The same kneecap then suffered an avulsion fracture one year later. The issues could provide grounds for routine soreness moving forward but we will monitor the situation for updates.
  • PHI Tackle #56
Steen is projected to start at right guard for the Eagles this season. The second-year player reportedly injured his ankle at Saturday’s practice and will miss a few days with the injury. Former No. 11 overall pick Mekhi Becton, who is hoping to break camp with the Eagles this offseason, is expected to see some work in place of Steen, which could go a long way in determining whether or not he lands on the 53-man roster.
  • PHI Tackle #56
The Eagles selected Steen with the No. 65 pick in last year’s draft. He played sparingly last season, appearing on just 71 offensive snaps over four games. Steen started every game at left tackle during his final season at Alabama, but with both tackle positions currently solidified in Philly, Steen has a chance to move to the interior and win a starting job heading into his second season with Sua Opeta now in Tampa Bay.
  • PHI Guard #56
Steen (6’6/321) was a 3-star recruit, and the 112th-ranked offensive tackle in the 2018 recruiting class, from Miami, Florida, according to 247 Sports. A converted defensive lineman, Steen is a large immovable force in the run game. Once he gets rumbling, little remains standing in his wake. An experienced tackle with 36 starts in the SEC, Steen has enjoyed good durability and position flex. Due to his lack of athleticism, pass blocking can be an issue when he can’t simply overpower an opponent. Although he put on 20 pounds when he transferred to Alabama, he may benefit from dropping at least some of that weight to combat his heavy feet. However, for a team with a run focus and a scheme that values play in a phone booth, Steen will be a fit and a developmental piece.

  • PHI Guard #56
Steen (6'5/315) entered the transfer portal in mid-January, and has quickly become a hot commodity over the last several weeks. His father shared with 247Sports.com that Steen has visits setup with Alabama, NC State, LSU and Penn State and that UCLA, USC and Kentucky may also be in the future. Steen is a native of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and was a three-star recruit from the 2018 class. He has come a long way since joining Vanderbilt, playing on over 2,200 snaps since 2019 per Pro Football Focus while allowing just 34 quarterback pressures and 11 sacks on 1,262 passing down snaps. Steen appears to be heading to a top program somewhere in 2022, now we will wait to see which one he lands with.

Emeka Egbuka caught 7-of-16 targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in the Bucs’ Week 6 loss to the Steelers.

Fantasy managers can’t complain about 17.8 PPR points, but this should have been an explosion spot for the second-year wideout. Jalon Daniels routinely missed him on routine throws, the most painful of which was a long would-be touchdown that grazed Egbuka’s hands as it sailed past him. There were several other throws that were behind, low, or simply too late. A short, two-yard score at the top of the second quarter will have to suffice. Egbuka is pulling away as the Bucs’ alpha receiver, pushing him back into the WR2 ranks for the team’s Week 7 date with the Panthers.

Dontayvion Wicks caught 2-of-4 targets for 24 yards in the Eagles’ Week 6 loss to the Panthers.

Wicks wasn’t much of a factor in this one. Tanner McKee seemed far more comfortable throwing to DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert, which left few targets for Wicks. Initial reports have Wicks playing on 40 of the team’s 64 snaps and running a route on 32 of their 52 dropbacks, which was actually fewer than Makai Lemon and only five more than Darius Cooper. With McKee at quarterback, it’s hard to trust Wicks in fantasy, regardless of matchup.

Dallas Goedert caught 6-of-8 targets for 61 yards in the Eagles’ Week 6 loss to the Panthers.

Early in the game, when Tanner McKee was struggling to get anything going, he seemed locked onto Goedert. When the Panthers were up by multiple scores and the defense seemed to allow some more space in the secondary, McKee felt more confident in taking shots down the field to his receivers, which meant Goedert was quiet in the second half. Still, he was second on the team in targets, receptions, and receiving yards and will be a low-end TE1 against the Cowboys next week.

Ladd McConkey (head) was ruled out in Week 6 against the Chiefs.

McConkey exited the game after a 17-yard reception in the first quarter and was seen entering the blue medical tent before being helped to the locker room. The quickness with which he was ruled out could mean the injury is on the severe side. The Chargers are down to their fifth and sixth wideouts on the depth chart. Justin Herbert likely won’t be fantasy relevant for the rest of the season.

DeVonta Smith caught 7-of-14 targets for 75 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles’ Week 6 loss to the Panthers.

Smith was easily the focal point of the passing attack after coming back from injury. He saw the most targets of anybody on the team by six, but many of them were not catchable. However, Tanner McKee kept taking shots down the field, and he made a beautiful pass to Smith in the end zone for a touchdown. The game itself might not be pretty when McKee is under center, but it seems like Smith is going to see the volume to continue producing solid fantasy value. He’s a low-end WR2 in a good matchup against the Cowboys next week.

Omar Cooper Jr. caught 6-of-7 targets for 103 yards and a touchdown in the Jets’ Week 6 loss to the Patriots.

Active for the first time since Week 1, the No. 30 overall pick shook off his ankle issue by recording the first 100-yard outing of his now two-game career. It was a much needed effort with No. 1 Garrett Wilson getting tangled up in Christian Gonzalez’s coverage. The highlight was a 48-yard touchdown where Cooper got behind the entire defense then came back to an underthrown deep ball for six. This was after he had a shorter touchdown called back by a dubious Tim Patrick OPI penalty. Now firmly in the mix for No. 2 status even when Adonai Mitchell comes back from his seemingly never-ending finger injury, Cooper is worth rostering in a majority of fantasy leagues with injuries mounting and bye weeks raging. The Jets have a plus Week 7 matchup in the Dolphins.

Alvin Kamara rushed seven times for 34 yards in the Saints’ Week 6 win over the Giants, adding two receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown.

The Saints deployed a committee backfield once again for Week 6. Kamara was the third running back into the game for the Saints, but was the only one to score a touchdown. He briefly went to the medical tent after falling on his hip in the first half but re-entered the game soon after. Kamara caught a swing pass from Tyler Shough and tip-toed away from the sideline to score from 17 yards out in the third quarter. With that catch, he became the sixth player in NFL history with 5,000 yards receiving and 5,000 yards rushing in his career. Despite the touchdown and milestone, Kamara was still third in running back snaps and is a touchdown-dependent FLEX play for Week 7 against the Steelers.

Germie Bernard caught 11-of-12 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers’ Week 6 win over the Bucs.

Bernard began the game with a potentially catastrophic blunder by moving the chains on first down, only to run back behind the sticks in search of more yards. He was taken down behind the line to gain for a turnover on downs. Instead of banishing him to the bench, Aaron Rodgers continued to lean on the rookie throughout the contest for easy completions underneath. He tied DK Metcalf for a team-high in catches. Per the broadcast, it was the most catches by a rookie receiver of Rodgers since the grizzled veteran entered the league. Bernard went from a PPR scam to a full-blown breakout in overtime by extending the ball for a game-winning touchdown with two defenders draped over him. Bernard has 21 targets over the past two weeks. He also has at least 80 yards in back-to-back games. He is looking at a WR3 ranking for his Week 7 matchup with the Saints.

Dameon Pierce rushed 12 times for 35 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles’ Week 6 loss to the Panthers.

With Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, and Will Shipley all hurt, and Carson Steele getting injured early in this game, Pierce took every single carry for the Eagles on Sunday. He also played on 61 of the team’s 64 snaps. However, that wasn’t able to amount to much on the ground with all of Philadelphia’s injuries. Pierce was also asked to pass block a lot, which means he only ran a route on 15 of the team’s 52 dropbacks. That’s going to limit his fantasy value, and he looks like a TD-dependent FLEX play while he remains the starter. The upside is that there doesn’t seem to be anybody coming for his job until Barkley (hamstring) returns.

Jahan Dotson caught 3-of-5 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons’ Week 6 loss to the Bears.

Dotson, whose season-high yardage coming into the week was 54 — his total in both of the past two weeks — got loose a couple times in this one, mostly when the Falcons ditched their usual run-heavy offense in favor of a fast-pace pass-heavy approach while facing a multiple touchdown second half deficit. Running a route no 32 of the Falcons’ 38 drop backs, Dotson led the team in receiving yards thanks largely to a 41-yard grab. Dotson could be a deep league play in Week 7 against the Niners.
