Kenyon Sadiq caught his only target for six yards in the Jets’ Week 7 loss to the Dolphins.

The first-round rookie was held to one catch for the second week in a row. He has four catches over his past four games. It wouldn’t be surprising for his role to expand as the season wears on, but there were no signs of that happening this week. He isn’t worth holding onto in most fantasy formats.

Chris Simms and Connor Rogers discuss the Giants' Week 7 win over the Texans, as J.J. McCarthy and Cam Skattebo stepped up to help New York advance to 4-2-1.

Colts head coach Shane Steichen said Anthony Richardson’s status with the team after being charged with a misdemeanor for marijuana possession has not changed.

This is presumably good news for Richardson, who could be an injury or benching of Daniel Jones away from seeing his first action in 2026. Richardson was cited for marijuana possession earlier this month and said after Week 7’s loss to the Vikings that he doesn’t “really regret a lot of things I do” when asked about it after the game. Steichen said he had conversations with Richardson, which will remain private, but it sounds like his status as the Colts’ QB2 remains intact heading into Week 8.

Jalen Brooks announced he’s done for the season with a wrist injury on his own Instagram.

Brooks had to get an emergency surgery on his wrist, per the post. Tough break for a 2023 seventh-round pick that had just started finding real playing time in the desert. The 26-year-old is in the final year of his rookie contract. His absence should open up more targets for Kendrick Bourne.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald declined to say whether or not Zach Charbonnet (knee) would play in Week 8 against the Bears.

Macdonald said the team will continue to stick to their plan regarding Charbonnet’s return. The 25-year-old running back was activated from the PUP list last week, only to be ruled out before the weekend as the Seahawks were preparing to face the Chiefs. It’s worth noting that Charbonnet was a full participant in practice last week, so we would assume he will log another full week of practices this week. Should the Seahawks opt to sideline Charbonnet next week, Emanuel Wilson would again assume the role as lead back.

Jonathan Taylor said trade rumors have “been out there already” so he doesn’t think his wife Ayanna talking about it on social media “really change[s] anything.”

Ayanna Taylor has been discussing the trade on TikTok. Her husband added: “You know everybody’s on TikTok these days. So, you just have to come into work and stay focused.” Since Chris Ballard’s firing, Taylor trade rumors have picked up steam. He refused to address them when asked after last week’s game, but his wife has posted about them, saying: “They have a losing record, they just fired their 10-year GM and they have no (first-round) draft picks. How are they gonna get new leadership to come in when they really have no options to transform the team?” Ayanna Taylor knows ball. We’ll see if the Colts ultimately trade Taylor; the price will be quite high and Jonathan Jones reported on Saturday it hasn’t been discussed internally yet. The rest of the NFL clearly seems to want it to happen.

Colts coach Shane Steichen said he has not thought about a change at quarterback and he has “a ton of faith” in Daniel Jones.

Always a good sign for the quarterback when the coach has to defend his plan to keep starting said quarterback in back-to-back postgame availabilities. While we empathize with the Indianapolis media that clearly has seen enough of Jones, we’re not sure what exactly they think will go differently with Anthony Richardson — who spent his press availability on Sunday noting that he doesn’t “really regret a lot of things I do” after a citation for marijuana possession — under center. Richardson’s in the final year of his rookie contract. The Colts remain a mess after firing Chris Ballard. Jones probably won’t play this poorly next week against a non-Vikings defense, but it’s hard to deny that he’s playing poorly.

Broncos coach Sean Payton, asked about Jonah Coleman, said touches were “something you earn and he’s done a good job of that.”

He also noted that Coleman’s touches were explosive. It’s hard to sit here with much certainty about what looks to be a three-headed Broncos running back room where every back has their niche, but Coleman probably enters Week 8 as the favorite of the three to crack 10 touches. Payton added, for the 17th time since he became Broncos coach, that he needed to get more touches for Marvin Mims on offense. We’ll believe that when we see it.

Commanders coach Dan Quinn said he doesn’t anticipate Stefon Diggs taking on a larger role with Terry McLaurin lost for the season.

Quinn did mention usage from “elsewhere” and the name “Antonio Williams” came up. Williams won’t be a buzzy waiver wire claim this week but could find himself in a reasonable WR3/WR4 sort of situation as the year unfolds.

Jaguars coach Liam Coen said Brian Thomas Jr. is “gonna be able to help us make plays this week.”

“I bet it, I know it. We’re gonna continue to support him, throw our arm around him and continue to do what we gotta do to make plays on Sunday. We gotta continue to put him in the best position to do so. BT works at it. He cares about this, he cares about winning and losing, he cares about his team. We all wanna see guys have success individually, but I’m excited about attacking this week with BT,” Coen continued. We’ll believe it when we see it, but at least it sounds like an endorsement that Thomas will remain in the playbook to some extent in Week 8. Fantasy managers that aren’t under duress probably shouldn’t tempt fate by putting Thomas, who did not catch a pass in two weeks in England, in lineups.

Jordan Schultz reports Charles Cross (ankle) suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday night’s win over the Chiefs.

He’ll be week-to-week. An ankle sprain isn’t quite as devastating for offensive linemen since they don’t have to move quite as much as other positions, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Cross missed multiple weeks. He also could be a candidate for a quick IR stint. Josh Jones filled in at left tackle for Cross and would seem to be the short-term replacement.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said the “early returns are positive” on Rashid Shaheed’s knee injury he suffered in Week 7 against the Chiefs.

Macdonald didn’t elaborate on how much time Shaheed could miss, if any, but it doesn’t sound like this is expected to be a long-term injury based on what he had to say on Monday. Shaheed’s impact is largely felt in the punt and kick return game, as he has just 16 receptions for 163 scoreless yards on the season for Seattle. We will update his practice status throughout the week, but Shaheed won’t have any fantasy relevance even if he does suit up next week against the Bears.
