Jordan Love completed 30-of-41 passes for 288 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in the Packers’ 27-19, Week 8 win over the Panthers.

Love completed 17 of his first 20 passes, and two of those incompletions were drops. He threw a seed to Tucker Kraft for his first touchdown between defenders, found Matthew Golden wide open in the end zone for his second score — one play after Golden dropped a touchdown — and connected with Josh Jacobs for his third score of the day. The interception was a heinous decision where he didn’t see the safety, but outside of that, it was an impressive evening for the 27-year-old. Love gets zero, well, love from the run game and doesn’t have a quality offensive line, but he’s still putting up respectable numbers. He’ll look to add to those numbers in Week 9 against the Patriots in what should be a fun matchup.

Even with Josh Jacobs back in the mix, the Packers still struggled to get the ground game going. As a result, Love aired it out early and often, throwing a ridiculous 10 passes for 20-plus yards, but only three were completed. Love’s first touchdown pass came on a third-and-nine when he connected with Tucker Kraft for a 14-yard score, and in the third quarter, a short pass to Jacobs was turned upfield for a 25-yard touchdown after Jacobs tight-roped along the sideline to find pay dirt. Love nearly connected with Jacobs for another score late in the fourth quarter, but Jacobs was unable to complete the diving catch in the end zone for the go-ahead score. On the next play, Trey Smack had a 35-yard field goal blocked, which ultimately set the Lions up for the game-winning field goal on the ensuing drive. Love continues to play an aggressive style of football, airing it out to his speedsters in Matthew Golden and Christian Watson. He and the Packers now have a short turnaround to prepare for the Panthers in Week 8, where he will be on the QB1 radar.

Love was limited on Wednesday before upgrading to full on Thursday. Packers coach Matt LaFleur told reporters that his starting quarterback was “pretty beat up” after the Packers’ Week 6 win over the Cowboys. Hopefully, he is feeling much better by now. This divisional showdown looks like one of the most fantasy-friendly game environments in Week 7. He’s a QB1.

It’s an upgrade from Wednesday’s limited session. Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Love was “pretty beat up” after Sunday night, but Love doesn’t appear to be in any danger of missing the game. He’ll likely be cleared off the injury report Friday.

Love got checked out by the team’s chiropractor after the game and was listed as limited for yesterday’s practice. LaFleur told reporters they haven’t determined whether he will be limited for today’s session. Either way, he said yesterday that there is no chance Love misses Week 7, so the practice reports are a moot point. Love is a top-half QB1 for his date with Detroit this week.
  • GB Quarterback #10
Wednesday’s session was a walkthrough, so this is just an estimate from the team. We don’t believe it will be much of an issue for Love in Week 7. Barring a setback, Love will remain in the QB1 mix for a likely shootout with the Lions on Sunday.
  • GB Quarterback #10
Love isn’t typically a threat to punch in a touchdown with his legs, but the state of the backfield and flow of the game gave him that opportunity late in the second quarter, which he would cash in for his first rushing score since Week 11 of 2024. Fantasy managers shouldn’t get too excited about the touchdown on the ground considering running back Josh Jacobs is expected to be activated from the commissioner’s exempt list Monday. Even so, Love has now accounted for two touchdowns in all six games played through the first third of the season and has gone over 300 yards through the air in half his appearances to start the 2026 season, leaving plenty of meat on the bone for continued fantasy production as the Packers enter their most difficult stretch of the schedule. Love remains a locked-in QB1 ahead of a potential shootout against the division rival Lions in Week 7.
  • GB Quarterback #10
With the Packers’ backs against the wall in a rivalry grudge match, Love had one of the best starts of his NFL life by simply cutting it loose. His 367 yards passing were the third most of his career, and accompanied by zero turnovers. He found each of Christian Watson, Matthew Golden and Tucker Kraft for at least one 46-yard gain, including a 53-yard touchdown to Watson. That does not include an earlier 42-yard scoring strike to Watson. Each score had serious air underneath them. This really was Love airing it out, something less competent quarterbacks had been struggling to do vs. the Bears’ vulnerable defense. We have seen this Love and Packers movie before — a step forward not followed by another move in the right direction — but neither Packers fans nor fantasy managers could have asked for more this afternoon. Love will have a good shot at keeping the good vibes going vs. the Cowboys’ struggling defense in Week 6.

Green Bay entered this game in desperate need of a win. They got it, though it was not pretty. Kneel downs aside, the Packers had five drives that gained fewer than 10 yards. Love nearly threw the game away with an interception straight into the hands of Jacob Parris in the red zone with less than four minutes left on the clock. The Bucs could not score on the ensuing drive and Love got to kneel out the clock. The Packers’ offense still looked disjointed today. They simply found an opponent that wasn’t a threat to put more than a handful of points on the board. Love is slipping further back in the QB2 ranks as he prepares to take on the Bears in Week 5.
  • GB Quarterback #10
Love was completely overrun by consistent pressure throughout on a night the Packers attempted 53 passes to just eight running back carries. The Atlanta defensive line took advantage of mounting injuries and ineffective play along the Green Bay offensive line to disrupt any offensive rhythm for the Packers. Love’s two touchdowns went to his top two options through the air in Christian Watson and Matthew Golden, the latter of whom notched the first regular season touchdown of his young career late in the fourth quarter. Matt LaFleur, Love, and the rest of the Packers have some significant work to do if they are to save their quickly sinking season. Love falls to a middling QB2 ahead of a road matchup with an aggressive Buccaneers defense in Week 4.
  • GB Quarterback #10
Love also ran in a touchdown in the fourth quarter, but it was called back because of a holding penalty. This game was played in a consistent drizzle, but the rain was not coming down hard enough to excuse why the Packers’ offense gained just 199 total yards. They committed 14 penalties and seemed incapable of making big plays, with just one play gaining at least 20 yards all day. Love took some deep shots down the field to Matthew Golden, but there weren’t many near misses to hang your hat on, and the offensive line didn’t hold up really well in pass protection. The good news is that the Packers will face a fairly mediocre Falcons defense in Week 3, so Love can be used in most fantasy leagues in that one.

Efton Chism caught 5-of-5 targets for 37 yards and one fumble lost in the Patriots’ Week 8 win over the Dolphins.

Chism drew the start opposite Kyle Williams in the Patriots’ victory over the Dolphins. Dolphins LB Jacob Rodriguez punched the ball out of Chism’s possession on the wide receiver’s first catch, during the Patriots’ second drive, but the wide receiver corps’ short-staffed state meant coach Mike Vrabel could not bench him. Chism chipped in three catches on the Patriots’ touchdown-scoring eighth drive, including a clutch eight-yard catch on 1st-and-goal from the Dolphins’ 15-yard line that helped set up Drake Maye’s end zone plunge. Chism will be FLEX against the Packers next week if A.J. Brown (knee) remains sidelined.

Rams coach Sean McVay said he did not have an official update on Trent McDuffie (back), adding, “he looks like he’s feeling OK.”

McDuffie missed Weeks 6-7 with a groin injury that he suffered in practice. He played through a questionable tag this week after three straight limited practices. Until we get an official update, McDuffie should probably be considered questionable to play in Week 9 against the Commanders.

Noah Gray caught both of his targets for 15 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs’ Week 8 loss to the Broncos.

Gray extended his streak of catching at least two (but no more than three) passes to five games. He also got in the end zone for the first time this year on a four-yard strike from Patrick Mahomes. Gray is a solid real-life tight end, but his role is too limited to be worth a look, even in deep fantasy leagues. He is not on the fantasy radar headed into Week 9.

DeMario Douglas caught 3-of-3 targets for 76 yards and one touchdown in the Patriots’ Week 8 win over the Dolphins.

The Patriots rolled with 12 personnel on their first play from scrimmage, so Douglas began his day on the sideline. Hunter Henry suffered an apparent foot injury early on, which likely afforded Douglas extra snaps via 11 personnel. He made his opportunities count. Douglas critically picked up a first down, powering through contact on 4th-and-2 on the Patriots’ eighth drive. He showed up again on the Patriots’ ninth drive, securing a play-action pass along the right sideline before juking a Dolphins safety and slipping a shoestring tackle attempt from JuJu Brents before racing into the end zone for a 48-yard touchdown. Douglas is a FLEX option against the Patriots next week.

J.K. Dobbins rushed seven times for 13 yards in the Broncos’ Week 8 win over the Chiefs.

Dobbins got the Bronocs’ first touch on offense and immediately took a backseat to Jonah Coleman. The rookie tallied 11 carries and five targets. He also became the first Bronocs running back to hit 100 yards from scrimmage in a game this year. Dobbins was not targeted and was not on the field at the goal line, where Coleman was heavily involved. Coleman ultimately punched in a goal line touchdown for the game-winning score after setting himself up with a 51-yard catch. The short-yardage role used to belong to Dobbins, but the rookie appears to have taken that as well. Without any high-value touches to work with, Dobbins is a between-the-20s grinder averaging a little over three yards per carry this season. He is falling back into the RB4 ranks for his Week 9 date with the Panthers.

Kyle Williams caught 1-of-1 targets for 43 yards and one touchdown in the Patriots’ Week 8 win over the Dolphins.

Good things happen when the Patriots get Williams involved downfield. He only caught one pass, but he made it count. Williams got open on a post route way downfield and was able to haul in the well-aimed pass from Drake Maye for a 43-yard score. The play was initially ruled incomplete because Williams accidentally kneed the ball out of his own possession as he entered the end zone, but coach Mike Vrabel smartly challenged the ruling of the play and won. Williams indeed crossed the plane before losing control of the ball. Williams’ workloads are frustratingly unreliable. He’s a boom-bust FLEX next week against the Packers.

Harrison Butker converted 1-of-2 field goal attempts in the Chiefs’ Week 8 loss to the Falcons.

Butker missed a 54-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter. It would have made the game a one-point deficit instead of four for the Chiefs’ final drive. Kansas City was ultimately rebuffed at the goal line and lost the game. Having missed a field goal in all but one game this year, we suspect Andy Reid will throw in the towel on Butker after today’s performance. Justin Tucker, recently signed to the Chiefs’ practice squad, will likely get called up for Week 9.

Jonah Coleman rushed 11 times for 41 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos’ Week 8 win over the Chiefs, adding four catches for 63 yards.

Coleman out-carried Dobbins 11-7 and was the only Broncos running back to earn a target, of which he saw five. Most importantly, Coleman was on the field for goal line duties, and he cashed in with a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Though he only averaged 3.7 yards per carry, Coleman was a handful for Chiefs defenders to bring down, routinely creating missed tackles while racking up yards after contact. Coleman’s best rep of the day was a 51-yard catch-and-run to set up his touchdown on the next play. Coleman saw all of the high-value touches in the backfield while leading the way in carries and targets. The takeover is all but complete, putting Coleman in the RB2 ranks for Week 9 against the Panthers.

Drake Maye completed 16-of-20 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns in the Patriots’ 24-19, Week 8 win over the Dolphins, adding eight rushes for five yards and one touchdown.

Maye’s two-yard touchdown run was a thing of beauty. The Patriots quarterback took off to the right side of the field, faking a pitch to Rhamondre Stevenson, which caused a Dolphins defender to fully bite on it, running right past Maye while the Patriots’ quarterback darted into the end zone. Maye’s first touchdown pass was thrown to Kyle Williams on a post route. It was well-placed, allowing Williams to secure the ball in stride just before entering the end zone. Maye later linked up with DeMario Douglas via play action for his second score. The Patriots’ quarterback is a QB1 against the Packers next week.

Emmett Johnson caught all five of his targets for 128 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs’ Week 8 loss to the Broncos.

He added one carry for 15 yards. Johnson racked up the bulk of his production on a 73-yard touchdown grab in the first half. The Broncos sent pressure and Patrick Mahomes perfectly lofted the ball to Johnson, who saw nothing but green grass ahead of him. The turf monster nearly took him down at the 10-yard line, but Johnson stayed upright enough and lost one final defender on his way into the end zone. He also picked up a 38-yard catch just before halftime to set up a last-second field goal. Johnson had more than two touches in just one of his previous three games headed into Week 8. Though he’s not going to challenge Kenneth Walker for RB1 duties anytime soon, this breakout performance should earn him a few more touches in Week 9. He will be have some value as a boom/bust FLEX play versus the Jets.
