Steelers waived CB Cory Trice with a failed physical designation.
An unfortunate string of injuries has prevented Trice from becoming a full-time contributor to the Steelers’ defense. He played in six games in 2024, but knee and hamstring injuries led to zero games played in 2025. The Steelers waive Trice after a failed physical and the 25-year-old will look for a new offseason team.
Analyzing the NFL division favorite odds
Chris Simms and Connor Rogers take a look at the odds for teams to win their division, spotlighting the Chicago Bears as a team to watch.
  • HOU Wide Receiver
Texans signed sixth-round WR Lewis Bond to a four-year rookie contract.
Bond finds himself on a stacked depth chart and will most likely wind up on IR or the practice squad for his rookie season. The 22-year-old has a chance to develop into a real option with time, but any potential paths to playing time would probably depend on one of Jaylin Noel or Jayden Higgins falling out of favor or getting injured.
  • FA Running Back #42
    Broncos waived RB Deuce Vaughn.
Vaughn has now washed out of Dallas and Denver over the past calendar year, and didn’t record a carry for the Broncos in 2025 while hanging on the practice squad. The 24-year-old will look to resurface elsewhere.
  • BUF Wide Receiver
Bills signed WR Skyler Bell to a four-year rookie contract.
Bell likely profiles as a potential deep sleeper in 2026, but he would have some real fantasy value if he found a real role in Buffalo’s offense. Keon Coleman hasn’t exactly endeared himself to anyone and Joshua Palmer had a lackluster first season with the Bills. With Tyrell Shavers also likely out early after tearing an ACL in the playoffs, Bell should be on the radar in the late second or early third round of rookie drafts.
  • DET Wide Receiver
Lions signed WR Kendrick Law to a four-year contract.
Law’s probably well behind Isaac TeSlaa in the race to be Detroit’s No. 3 receiver in 2026. He profiles as a steady backup between the special teams play and receiving acumen. He’ll likely be trying to replace Kalif Raymond as much as anyone else.
  • DET Tackle
Lions signed first-round RT Blake Miller to a four-year rookie contract with a fifth-year option.
Miller will clearly have a chance to step in right away as the bookend on the other side of Penei Sewell, it did seem like the Lions were leaning towards having Sewell play left tackle this offseason. Rookie tackles are not exactly a dependable source of solid play right away, but Miller’s career at Clemson leads us to believe he’ll have a decent floor right away, which should help the Lions pass protection and run game this season.
  • NO Wide Receiver
Saints agreed to terms with undrafted free agent WR Brock Rechsteiner.
Rechsteiner, son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Rechsteiner, stuck with the second team to invite him to rookie mini camp over the weekend. The Saints added three wide receivers via the draft this offseason but weren’t done bolstering their depth chart. “I want to do football as long as I can,” Rechsteiner said Monday. “Once that’s done, I will pursue wrestling.”
  • DET Linebacker
Lions signed LB Jimmy Rolder to a four-year, $5.532 million contract.
The rookie fourth-round selection gets $1.152 million in guaranteed money after being taken by the Lions with the No. 118 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Rolder should initially serve as a rotational piece but could work his way up to a starting role in short order if former sixth-rounder Malcolm Rodriguez is slow out of the gate.
  • FA Quarterback #8
ESPN’s Brooke Pryor said reports of the Steelers and Aaron Rodgers meeting over the weekend do “not appear to have come to fruition.”
Pryor said she was at the Steelers’ facilities this weekend and that she did not see Rodgers. Nor did any other reporters she spoke with. It was reported last week that Rodgers and the Steelers were planning to meet to discuss his return for a 22nd season, but his noticeable absence suggests that the visit never took place. Pryor went on to say that May 18th is the next day to keep an eye on, which is when the Steelers begin the next phase of their OTAs. Rodgers continues to drag out his decision and didn’t join the Steelers until June 5th last year, so it wouldn’t be surprising if he kicked the can down the road a bit longer. Until he returns, the Steelers will continue working with Mason Rudolph, Will Howard, and Drew Allar in preparation for next season.
  • PIT Kicker #9
Steelers signed K Chris Boswell to a four-year, $28 million extension.
Boswell’s $7 million AAV on his new deal ties with Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey for the highest in league history at the position. Boswell, 35, converted 27-of-32 field goals (84.4 percent) last season and is one of the best kickers in league history from distances of 50-plus yards, as he’s 52-for-63 lifetime. This new deal keeps him under contract with the Steelers through 2030, all but ensuring he’ll have the chance to spend his entire career with one organization.
