The Chargers’ 2008 fifth-round pick had no shot of making the team as the sixth back on the depth chart. He’s practice squad material.

The Saints made a late-round pick swap with the Commanders to acquire Ridgeway two years ago. He missed most of the season after suffering a pec injury in August. Ridgeway totaled 11 combined tackles, one TFL, and one QB hit in his four appearances in 2025. The Saints clearly think he can contribute more after a healthy offseason.

26-year-old Evans mixes in sporadically on defense, but is primarily a core special teamer. Signing at this stage of the offseason suggests the Panthers like him enough that his 53-man roster spot should be secure heading into training camp.

Enagbare was expected to be part of the Packers exodus to Miami, but instead lands with the Jets on a one-year contract to try to set himself up for a bigger payday next offseason. The 26-year-old had 11.5 sacks in four years with the Packers and added 17 hurries (per PFF) in literally every year of his career. He’ll try to parlay what we assume is a starting role with the Jets into a major deal in 2027.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the deal includes "$22.5 million fully guaranteed.” The No. 69 overall pick of the 2021 draft, Ossai played out his rookie deal with the Bengals before tacking on an extra year last season. More of a rotational pass rusher than true difference-making EDGE threat, Ossai theoretically still offers upside at age 26 (next month). He is still nevertheless the kind of player who fills out a defense rather than elevate it.

It was recently reported by Senior NFL insider Josina Anderson that Pierre had “eight to nine teams” interested in his services. Now, the 29-year-old corner lands with the Vikings, reuniting with defensive coordinator Brian Flores, who he worked with in Pittsburgh. Pierre appeared in 10 games for the Steelers last season, earning a PFF coverage grade of 89.7 while allowing just 14 receptions for 142 yards and one touchdown on 33 targets. Pierre plays almost exclusively on the outside and will bolster a Vikings pass defense that was among the league’s best last season.

Gallimore brings pass rush in the interior to the Bears — he had 3.5 sacks and (per PFF) 10 hurries and 22 tackles for loss for the Colts on a one-year deal in 2024. He’ll have a role on the interior with the Bears, possibly as a pass-rush only part of the rotation.

He can get up to $47.5 million with incentives. John Harbaugh gets his upside tight end for what looks poised to be a huge role in New York’s offense. Likely should be in the low-end TE1 ranks to start the year, with the upside to perhaps make a push for the middle. The soon-to-be 26-year-old played only 14 games last year for the Ravens, catching a career-low 27 balls while dealing with injury and playing behind a resurgent Mark Andrews.
