Brisiel started 30 games over the past two seasons, but was out of a job after the Raiders signed Austin Howard to man right guard. Brisiel was ticketed to “compete” with Kevin Boothe and Khalif Barnes on the left side, but was always a realistic candidate for release. The move creates $1.38 million in cap space, but leaves behind $3.93 million in dead money. Now 31, Brisiel would reportedly like to continue his playing career, but has struggled mightily the past two seasons.

Rapoport adds that he “wouldn’t be surprised” if Gibbs isn’t at practice until they get real significant progress on a contract extension. Gibbs has passed his conditioning test but is currently a hold-in. Rapoport adds that “it would make sense” for Robinson to get the first contract of the two, but concedes that “it’s safe to say it’s up in the air right now.”

Saleh, for one, has said he’s not concerned with Ward’s 2025 accuracy issues. With the additions of Carnell Tate and Wan’Dale Robinson, Ward will have a vastly improved wideout group with which to work in 2026.

“I would say he’s a lot leaner for sure, he looks a lot more explosive,” was Williams’ exact quote. The Rams’ in-house reporters claim “that explosiveness has been on display all camp.” A disappointing 2024 rookie, Corum successfully earned a 1B role as a sophomore and is pushing for more. It’s still difficult to believe he could crack the top 24 at running back in fantasy, but it is possible he continues to cut into Williams’ top-18 value. Williams and Corum’s workload split will be one of September’s most intriguing early-season storylines.

Guerendo’s Niners future is murky at best, but a quick healing process could earn him a small role behind workhorse Christian McCaffrey, as well as make it more likely he would be a part of the committee were CMC to ever miss time with injury.

Now with an enhanced supporting cast via the addition of Jaylen Waddle, the third-year starter could be set up for another “surprise” step forward in fantasy.

McNeill was unable to finish the session Friday but is reportedly dealing with a minor ailment, with head coach Dan Campbell confirming that he is “believed to be okay” after initial testing. Speaking to media Saturday, Campbell added, “He’s a huge piece for us on defense.” McNeill has been no stranger to picking up various ailments having missed a combined 14 games in the previous three seasons.

This is about the best case scenario for the Chiefs after Allen was carted from the field Saturday after a special teams collision. Preliminary testing revealed the knee to be intact with no associated ligament damage, leaving Allen day-to-day with what is being called a shin bruise. The fifth-round receiver is expected to make an immediate impact on special teams while providing valuable depth behind Rashee Rice in the slot.
