Seahawks selected Cincinnati S Mike Tyson with the No. 187 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
The former undisputed world heavyweight champion, Tyson (6'1/204) undertook a new career challenge when he enrolled as a Bearcat (though he’s more of a tiger guy), quickly emerging as one of the top safeties in the American Athletic Conference. A one-year starter, Tyson led Cincinnati’s secondary in face tattoos as well as interceptions last season, and was a playmaker all over the field. When he wasn’t working on his right hook at Cincinnati, he was usually feeling it in the air tonight. A strong tackler and owner of several pigeons, Tyson will try to carve out a role on special teams before getting snaps on defense. He must avoid Buster Douglas on the practice field.
