Wisconsin sophomore RB Braelon Allen rushed 29 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday’s 34-28 loss to Michigan State.
Allen and the Badgers lost this one in double overtime after four quarters didn’t prove enough to settle it. Allen scored on two one-yard touchdown runs for his only scores of the afternoon, but broke off four runs of 10+ yards on the day, including a 34-yard run to close out the first quarter. For as strong a day as Allen had, his worst play proved most costly, as he fumbled on the first play of the second overtime period, turning the ball back over to Michigan State, who scored the game-winning 27-yard touchdown just three plays later. Allen has now rushed for 757 yards and eight touchdowns on the season, and is pacing for numbers similar to his 2021 freshman season (157-1109-12).
