Cardinals placed Rondale Moore (groin) on injured reserve.
The Cardinals have not been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs yet, but that is nearly guaranteed to happen this week. Because of that, Moore’s sophomore season can be considered over. After not seeing the field much as a rookie, Moore’s role grew in 2022, and so did his production. He jumped to five catches for 52 yards per game while also upping his efficiency on a per-catch and per-target basis. On the other hand, he failed to top 100 receiving yards in a single game and scored a lone touchdown. Moore ended the year with 41 catches for 414 yards. With DeAndre Hopkins and Marquise Brown under contract for the 2023 season, it’s hard to see his role growing next year. The fact that Kyler Murray, who suffered a torn ACL in Week 14, may not be ready for Week 1 only makes things worse. Moore could emerge as a strong slot option in his third season, but the prospects of a true breakout are hard to find.
