NBC Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco reports the 49ers have agreed to the “framework” of a Brandon Aiyuk trade with both the Patriots and Browns.
Per Maiocco, “now it’s up to Aiyuk to decide if he will accept either team’s contract terms.” It’s odd timing for a deal of this nature, but things are looking irreparable between the 49ers and their co-No. 1 receiver. The 2020 first-rounder just wants to get paid heading into the final season of his rookie deal, and the star-laden Niners aren’t in a great position to do so. This should get resolved within the next 24 hours. Both the Pats and Browns would be a steep fantasy downgrade, but the Pats far, far — far — more so.
  • DAL Quarterback #4

NFL Network’s Jane Slater reports Dak Prescott’s “initial diagnosis is a partial avulsion of his hamstring tendon which is partially torn off the bone.”
Slater also reports that her sources told her “it typically takes more than a 4 week recovery. In some cases, they let it scar over, repair and then strengthen. With that being said, Prescott is seeking other opinions which is why there is currently a reluctance to place him on IR or make any determinations about a timeline for return.” An avulsion injury is far more serious than a typical strain. Fantasy managers should prudently move on from Prescott at this time.
  • DEN Center #60
Broncos C Luke Wattenberg (ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Wattenberg’s potential return bodes positively for the Broncos’ pass-protection ability as they prepare to take on Chris Jones and the rest of the Chiefs’ talented pass rush. Wattenberg still has to get through the week setback-free though.
  • CHI Defensive End #98
Bears EDGE Montez Sweat (shin) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Kyler Gordon, who missed Week 9 with a hamstring issue, was also limited. Sweat bookended last week’s three practices with DNPs and was eventually made inactive on Sunday. A return to practice is a step in the right direction but doesn’t guarantee his availability for Week 10. The Bears were down multiple key defenders versus the Cardinals on Sunday and got rocked, giving up 29 points. It’s the first time Chicago has allowed more than 21 points in a game this season. Drake Maye’s fantasy outlook would receive a notable boost if Sweat or Gordon can’t play this week.
  • LAC Linebacker #52
Khalil Mack (groin) did not practice Wednesday.
Mack leads the Chargers in both quarterback pressures (28) and NFL sacks (4.5) so this injury carries weight, heading into Week 10. Were he to miss this game, it would improve the fantasy-scoring potential of the Titans passing-game components.
  • LAC Running Back #4
Gus Edwards (ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Edwards is unlikely to hold standalone fantasy value but his return could complicate things. J.K. Dobbins has established himself as the team’s bellcow while Kimani Vidal mixes in for minimal touches and the occasional pass-protection snap. Ideally, Edwards would remain in the No. 3 role while allowing Vidal to gradually earn more opportunities. It remains to be seen if things will shake out that way though.
  • WAS Kicker (FG) #19
Commanders K Austin Seibert (hip) did not practice Wednesday.
Seibert currently leads all kickers in fantasy points per game. The Commanders don’t have another kicker on their practice squad on will likely make a move to rectify that later this week. The to-be-named kicker will be worth an add off the waiver wire for fantasy managers forced to use the archaic position.
  • WAS Running Back #8
Brian Robinson (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Robinson was limited in all three sessions last week. He was expected to suit up as of Sunday morning, but it was clear after pre-game warmups that his hamstring injury didn’t respond as planned. He was ruled out 90 minutes before kickoff. Today’s limited session suggests he didn’t suffer any setbacks, though his status for Week 10 remains ambiguous. Should he miss another week, Austin Ekeler would lead the backfield in touches with Chris Rodriguez taking on some of Robinson’s grinder duties. Both backs saw 11 carries last week.
  • PHI Tight End #88
Dallas Goedert (hamstring) is practicing in full for Week 10 against the Cowboys.
Goedert told reporters he is tracking to play. He still has two more practices to go before being cleared, but all signs point to Goedert making his return in Week 10. Goedert has been sidelined since suffering the hamstring injury in Week 6. With DeVonta Smith held out of Wednesday’s session with a hamstring injury, Goedert could return to a high-volume role out of the gate.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #6
DeVonta Smith (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday.
Smith wasn’t present for Wednesday’s walkthrough. We will get more info on the situation tomorrow, but it’s a concerning start to the week for the star receiver. Smith didn’t appear limited by the hamstring injury on Sunday when he reeled in one of the most impressive toe-drag touchdowns you’ll ever see. He finished the day with four grabs for 87 yards and one score. If Smith can’t suit up this week, a returning Dallas Goedert will operate as Jalen Hurts’ No. 2 pass-catcher.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #7
Brian Thomas Jr. (chest) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Thomas produced his worst PPR finish of the season last week (WR71) in his first game post-injury. No reported setbacks occurred though so we expect Thomas to begin improve his play, operating as the Jaguars’ No. 1 WR in Week 10.
