  • DET Defensive End #93

Lions coach Dan Campbell said Josh Paschal (undisclosed) will be out “longer” than expected.
Campbell thought that Paschal, who was placed on the non-football injury list to open camp, would be back practicing in September. Instead, it seems like Paschal will be out through at least the first month of the season. The Lions have not disclosed what Paschal is dealing with. It looks like we’ll be getting a big dose of Al-Quadin Muhammad and Marcus Davenport on the other side of Aidan Hutchinson to open the season.
  • LA Tight End #87

Davis Allen caught 3-of-4 targets for 16 yards in Los Angeles’ Week 15 loss to the Lions.
Allen finished with 54 snaps, just behind Terrance Ferguson (1/6 with a missed connection deep shot) at 56 for the lead amongst non-Colby Parkinson tight ends. It feels like Ferguson is the more likely of the two to erupt in any given week, while Allen is the one that delivers this floor that’s slightly above ground. You don’t want this floor for fantasy purposes. But here it is.
Bet on Rivers, Taylor against Seahawks in Week 15
The FFHH crew shares their favorite bets for Week 15 of the NFL season, detailing why 44-year-old Philip Rivers will have over 151 passing yards and Jonathan Taylor will have over 14 receiving yards against the Seahawks.
  • NO Wide Receiver #12
Chris Olave caught 6-of-9 targets for 85 yards and one touchdown in the Saints’ Week 15 win over the Panthers.
Olave was an afterthought for much of this game, ceding targets to possession receiver, WR Devaugh Vele, until Vele exited with a shoulder injury. Olave had just one catch and seven yards on two targets at halftime. He came to life on the Saints’ seventh drive, ripping off explosive gains on three consecutive plays, while bizarrely employing a catch-and-fall technique on each one. He sandwiched 17- and 16-yard gains on post routes with an 18-yard gain on a corner route. On 3rd-and-6 from the Panthers’ 12-yard line, he deftly broke inward on a post route, leaving Panthers star CB Jaycee Horn in the dust. Shough then slung it to Olave for the score. Olave is a borderline WR1/2 against the Jets in Week 16.
  • LA Tight End #84
Colby Parkinson caught 5-of-7 targets for 75 yards and two touchdowns in Los Angeles’ Week 15 win over the Lions.
One of his touchdown catches was one of the weirdest non-overturns you’ll ever see, where even FOX’s Dean Blandino appeared confused as to why Parkinson was not ruled short of the goal line. Nevertheless! Parkinson has now caught six touchdowns in six games, a stretch that roughly coincides with Tyler Higbee heading to IR and the Rams losing one mouth to feed from what had been a four-headed TE hydra. Nothing about what Parkinson is doing on the field looks Film Room Impressive, but the way Stafford is slinging it in the red zone and the safety of the role brings up hints of early-season Jake Ferguson. Parkinson should remain on the low-end TE1 landscape against the Seahawks on short rest Thursday.
  • DEN Wide Receiver #11
Troy Franklin caught 6-of-6 targets for 85 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos’ Week 15 win over the Packers, adding one carry for three additional yards.
Franklin’s six targets were tied for second-most on the Broncos on Sunday. The former Oregon product was robbed of a touchdown in the second quarter when officials incorrectly blew the play dead after it was shown on a replay that his knee never hit the ground, but Franklin later found pay dirt on a 23-yard strike in the third quarter to make up for it. Sunday marked Franklin’s most productive fantasy outing since Week 8, when he went for 6-89-2. He’s seen six or more targets in four of his last five games, but Franklin can’t be trusted as anything more than a FLEX play in Week 16 against the Jaguatrs.
  • LA Running Back #23
Kyren Williams rushed 15 times for 78 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams’ Week 15 win over the Lions.
He added a 10-yard catch on his only target. Williams scored on both of Los Angeles’ first two scoring drives on four- and one-yard scampers. They were his only two red zone rushes of the game, but he paid them off. Williams is probably more of a low-end RB2 or RB3 against a good Seahawks defense in Week 16, especially with TNF not giving him much of a breather. He went for 12/91/1 against Seattle in Week 11.
  • LA Running Back #22
Blake Corum rushed 11 times for 71 yards and a touchdown in the Rams’ Week 15 win over the Lions.
Since Week 7, Corum has been a reliable portion of the Rams offense while averaging 10.3 carries and 56.4 rushing yards. What he hadn’t done much of until Week 13 was scoring — but now regression is headed his way as Corum bounced a few big carries outside, one of them for his fourth touchdown in three games. The Seahawks successfully bottled him up in Week 11 (8/10 rushing line) and he probably should be looked at more skeptically on short rest in Seattle for a huge Thursday divisional matchup.
  • DET Running Back #5
David Montgomery rushed seven times for 32 yards and a touchdown in the Lions’ Week 15 loss to the Rams.
A Wildcat carry down 14 and just outside of the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter saved Montgomery from the FLEX shadow realm. He remains a good back stuck in a bad role, but at least he delivered the touchdown in “touchdown-or-bust RB3 play” for the third week in a row. The Steelers can be run on, and Montgomery should be able to parlay his red zone role into good touchdown equity again in Week 16.
  • DEN Wide Receiver #14
Courtland Sutton caught 7-of-10 targets for 113 yards and one touchdown in the Broncos’ Week 15 win over the Packers.
Sutton came up with several big plays in this one, starting with a 42-yard reception in the second quarter that helped position the Broncos for a five-yard touchdown pass to Lil’Jordan Humphrey two plays later. In the third quarter, Sutton hauled in a leaping catch in the end zone for a 14-yard score to put the Broncos up 23-21, and on a pivotal fourth and two in the fourth quarter, Sutton hauled in a 26-yard pass down the left sideline to extend a drive that ended with a four-yard touchdown run by RJ Harvey. Sutton continues to be the only consistently reliable receiving option in the Broncos’ offense, and will be on the high-end WR2 radar in Week 16 against the Jaguars.
  • DET Running Back #0
Jahmyr Gibbs rushed 13 times for 38 yards in the Lions’ Week 15 loss to the Rams, adding four catches for 20 yards on seven targets.
The Rams simply bullied the run game from Detroit all day, holding Gibbs to a long carry of just six yards. He was able to bounce a few plays outside, he broke plenty of tackles ... but PFF’s early charting has Gibbs with just 0.4 yards before contact per attempt. Gibbs will remain a high-end RB1 against the Steelers last week, hopefully we’ll look back on this one as a small blip.
  • NO Quarterback #6
Tyler Shough completed 24-of-32 passes for 272 yards and one touchdown in the Saints’ 20-17, Week 15 win over the Panthers, rushing eight times for 32 yards.
Panthers defenders were flagged at least three times for deserved unnecessary roughness penalties against Shough today. Panthers DT Derrick Brown, LB Christian Rozeboom and S Lathan Ransom all lowered their shoulders on Shough after he had given himself up by sliding at the end of a scramble. He briefly met with the training staff after taking Rozeboom’s knee in his lower right back and glute, but was able to return, and ended up leading his team in rushing. Shough relied heavily on WR Devaughn Vele until Vele left with a shoulder injury. The departure seemingly reminded Shough of WR Chris Olave’s existence, leading the two to link up for four completions, 62 yards and one touchdown on the Saints’ seventh drive. Shough is a mildly interesting QB2 against the Jets next week.
