Mouw, who finished T-5 last week in the NCAA Championship as a junior at Pepperdine, carded rounds of 67-63 to finish at 12-under 130 and win medalist honors. Reiter, who just finished his redshirt junior season at San Diego, was five shots back after rounds of 66-69. Earning the last three spots – out of the field of 90 – were Luke Gannon (68-68), Taylor Montgomery (67-69) and Jesse Mueller (69-67). Montgomery, a Korn Ferry Tour member, made the cut in last year’s U.S. Open and finished T-11 in the Farmers Insurance Open earlier this season. The 39-year-old Mueller, a volunteer assistant coach at Grand Canyon University and GM at the school’s golf course, will make his second start in a major this year. He won the PGA Professional Championship in April, which qualified him for last month’s PGA Championship at Southern Hills, where he missed the cut. Finishing as first alternate was Spencer Levin, with amateur Dylan Menante as second alternate.
