MJ Maguire rallied with a 5-under 65 during final-round action of the Big Money Golf Classic, good enough for a spot in a two-man playoff against Tom Lovelady. Maguire walked away with a win on the second hole of the playoff.

Maguire started slow this week with an even-par 70 at Crooked Cat but rallied with back-to-back 65s after moving over to play at Panther Lake. The North Florida product racked up 10 birdies over the final two days without dropping a single shot. This win will earn him $100,000 which is just $36,170 shy of his career earnings on the PGA TOUR Latino America circuit in 40 events played. That same tour is where Maguire flexed this season, going 8-for-8 with four top 10s to finish 5th on the money list. He ended his college career ranked inside of the top 50 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking so he always had pedigree. It’s safe to say that today was the biggest win of his career.
