The Mexico City native is always one of the fan favorites at this event. This will be his seventh career start at this event. Highlights include a T9, T13, and T25. Those remain three of his four career-best finishes on the PGA TOUR (T22 at the 2015 Barracuda also in the mix). More recently, he’s spread his time between the Web.com Tour and Latinoamerica Tour and arrives with nine straight finishes outside the top 35. DFS gamers should give him a look when mining for sleepers, given his tournament history here in his home country.

Fraustro tied for ninth at the Cox Classic last week and jumped 22 spots to 73rd on the Web.com Tour money list. The top 75 earned inclusion into the four-tournament playoff that offers 25 2013-14 PGA TOUR cards.

The PGA TOUR rookie is just 4-for-11 on the season and is still searching for that spark he kindled back November on his way to a T9 in the OHL Classic at Mayakoba. On the whole, he ranks 190th in strokes gained and outside the top 100 in driving distance. Gamers can take a quick glance at those stats and easily realize there are better fantasy options this week.

The PGA TOUR rookie is still searching for a spark, currently ranked 188th in the FedExCup race. He’s arriving on the heels of eight straight finishes outside the top 60. Fraustro will be taking on TPC Deere Run for the first time, and gamers can safely overlook him when setting rosters this week.

Fraustro is just 5-for-16 in his career on the PGA TOUR with four of those cuts made coming in 2014-15. He is currently 179th in the FedExCup standings, needing a big week or two in order to make the Playoffs. The rookie is a long shot to contend but this week is as good as any, given the relatively poor strength of field.

Fraustro is in the throws of a forgettable rookie campaign on TOUR depositing five paychecks on 19 starts with one top-25 finish, a T9 at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in mid-November. In is last eight tournaments, he’s missed the cut seven times, cashing a 73rd-place check at the FedEx St. Jude Classic. The 33-year-old ranks 148th on TOUR in birdie average (3.44) and 161st in eagle (holes per). Only the staunchest of supporters will put the Web.com Tour grad on their fantasy rosters.

At 192nd in the FedExCup standings, the rookie has everything to gain at Sedgefield this week, and he played like it today. Fraustro missed only two greens in regulation and circled six birdies, all from inside eight feet. He’d walk off with a bogey-5 at the 18th hole for his only blemish of the round, but still equaled his career low on the PGA TOUR. Granted, this was just his 59th career but it’s better than every alternative.

The 33-year-old from México went 6-for-7 in scrambling with one bogey to touch 7-under 133 at the break. He’s three shots adrift of the 36-hole clubhouse lead. He connected for three birdies, including a hole-out from a bunker 15 yards away at the par-4 18th where he made the turn. Unless he contend for the title, Fraustro will be playing to fulfill two objective this week since he’s 192nd in the FedExCup standings. First is a fat check. Four of his six paydays this season yielded less than $13,500. The other mission is to establish confidence and momentum into the Web.com Tour Finals. So far, so good.

The PGA TOUR rookie is 3-for-9 on the season and is still searching for a tournament that could springboard into some momentum. The forecast of rain on a course that already favors long hitters could work against Fraustro as he currently ranks outside the top 100 in driving distance. Gamers can avoid him with fairly high confidence this week.

México’s Fraustro finished 186th in the FedExCup standings following last season’s rookie campaign on the PGA TOUR and was unable to regain status via the Web.com Tour Finals. He made 21 starts on the big stage but cashed only seven times. His lone top 10 came here at El Camaleón GC (T9) which he promptly chased with four consecutive missed cuts and eight early exits over his next 10. The 33-year-old went on to miss his first three cuts in the Web.com Tour Finals, but carved out a T12 in the Web.com Tour Championship. He chased with a T4 four weeks ago at the Mundo Maya Open on the PGA TOUR LatinoAmérica so there is some positives in play here of late.
