    The BYU product ended his Mackenzie Tour season on a high note by winning the Canada Life Championship. That jumped him from 879th to 564th in the OWGR. Playing on a sponsor’s invite this week, Fishburn split just five (of 14) fairways and managed 11 greens in regulation. Neither stat would indicate a low round but Fishburn had other plans as he needed just 25 swipes with the flat stick to make his way around Port Royal Golf Club. That was aided by a hole out for birdie at the par-4 15th but the putter was steady all day. The 27-year-old showed no sign of nerves despite this being his first round played in a PGA TOUR event.
