Norris

Norris is a former undrafted free agent with 11 career tackles through four NFL seasons. He’ll be a depth option and potential special-teamer for Washington. His connection with coach Ron Rivera definitely played into this move.

Initially signed by the Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2016, Norris played 52 snaps over three games on specials teams last year before a nagging toe injury forced him to injured reserve. Norris received a $150,000 signing bonus with this new deal.

Norris (6'1/241) made 32 career starts for the Utes, tallying 24 tackles for loss, seven sacks and four forced fumbles. He earned second-team All-Pac 12 as a senior. Norris sent up athletic red flags in Indy, managing a 4.80 forty and 29 1/2-inch vertical. An active, high-energy linebacker, Norris is headed for a special teams and reserve duty in the pros.
