    Mariners released RHP Christian Bergman.
Bergman had been pitching for the team’s Triple-A affiliate in Tacoma, though not very effectively, contributing a dismal 9.57 ERA in his eight appearances including six starts. The 31-year-old could resurface elsewhere as minor-league depth, though we doubt his phone will be ringing off the hook.

Mariners signed RHP Christian Bergman to a minor league contract.
Bergman was released by the Cubs in late March after allowing five earned runs over 4 2/3 innings in the Cactus League. This will be a homecoming of sorts for the 30-year-old right-hander, who spent parts of the 2017 and 2018 seasons in Seattle. He’ll join up with the Mariners’ Triple-A affiliate in Tacoma for now.

    Cubs released RHP Christian Bergman.
Bergman was in camp as a non-roster invitee. He’ll now look to latch on elsewhere.

Cubs signed RHP Christian Bergman to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Bergman, 30, owns a 5.59 ERA, 1.47 WHIP, and 130/49 K/BB ratio in 215 2/3 career major league innings -- 25 starts and 46 relief appearances. He will operate as minor league pitching depth for the Cubs in 2019.

Christian Bergman (oblique) threw on flat ground Sunday.
It’s the first time he’s thrown since being placed on the disabled list with an oblique strain. Bergman is likely still a couple weeks away from a return.

Rockies recalled RHP Christian Bergman from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Bergman has registered a 5.89 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, and 19/4 K/BB ratio in 18 1/3 innings (one start, eight relief appearances) this season for Colorado. He is presumably going to serve as a long man out of the bullpen.

Rockies recalled RHP Christian Bergman from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Bergman holds a 6.52 ERA in 10 appearances in the majors this season. He’ll provide some length out of the bullpen.

Rockies placed RHP Christian Bergman on the 15-day disabled list.
Bergman tweaked his oblique during a relief appearance Thursday. He’ll likely miss a handful of weeks.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #79
Rockies optioned RHP Christian Bergman to Triple-A Albuquerque.
The Rockies needed to clear a roster spot for Saturday’s starting pitcher, Jeff Hoffman. Bergman has posted an ugly 6.52 ERA in 10 outings for the Rockies this season. Perhaps he’ll get a callup in September when rosters expand from 25 to 40.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #79
Rockies activated RHP Christian Bergman from the 15-day disabled list.
Bergman missed almost two months with a strained oblique. With the rotation set and Jordan Lyles entrenched as the Rockies’ long man, there wasn’t any room for Bergman in Colorado. The right-hander should find his way back to the Mile High City at some point this summer.
