    Dodgers released RHP Erik Goeddel.
He’s a roster casualty with the Dodgers needing to clear 40-man roster space this week. Goeddel posted a 2.95 ERA with over a strikeout per inning across 31 relief appearances in 2018 and should land on his feet somewhere.

Dodgers designated RHP Erik Goeddel for assignment.
Goeddel was placed on the 60-day disabled list in September because of an elbow issue, but the assumption is the right-hander will be ready for spring training. Assuming he doesn’t elect to become a free agent, he’ll likely compete for a spot in the Los Angeles bullpen in spring training. They’ll have to add him back to the 40-man roster if he wins a job, however.

Dodgers activated RHP Erik Goeddel from the 60-day disabled list.
He’s now back on the 40-man roster. Goeddel had an elbow issue down the stretch this season but should be ready for spring training.

Mets purchased the contract of RHP Erik Goeddel from Double-A Binghamton.
Goeddel made 25 starts at Double-A last season, going 9-7 with a 4.37 ERA in 134 innings. Putting the 24-year-old on the 40-man roster protects him in the upcoming Rule 5 Draft.

Mets optioned RHP Erik Goeddel to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Goeddel was sent out to make room on the roster for Jim Henderson who is returning from the disabled list on Saturday. The 27-year-old registered a 4.18 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 27/7 K/BB ratio over 28 innings out of the Mets bullpen. He’ll surely return once rosters expand in September.

Jeurys Familia is unavailable to pitch on Sunday.
He’s pitched in two straight games and worked four out of the last five days and needs a break. Addison Reed is also likely unavailable Sunday, so the Mets could use Hansel Robles or Erik Goeddel should a save opportunity arise.

Mets recalled RHP Erik Goeddel from Triple-A Las Vegas.
He holds a 4.94 ERA at Las Vegas this season but has struck out over a batter per inning. Goeddel will work in middle relief.

Mets optioned RHP Erik Goeddel to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Goeddel was just up for Wednesday’s game against the Cardinals. He tossed 1 2/3 innings of two-run ball in the 8-1 loss. Goeddel has pitched to a 4.55 ERA in 29 1/3 innings at the major league level this season. Now back to Triple-A.

Mets recalled RHP Erik Goeddel from Triple-A Las Vegas.
Goeddel was just sent down on Saturday, but the Mets recalled him with Jon Niese landing on the disabled list due to a left knee injury. In 28 bullpen innings with the Mets this season, Goeddel held a 4.18 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 27/7 K/BB ratio. His is a serviceable filler arm out of the pen, but there is no fantasy intrigue here.

Mets recalled RHP Erik Goeddel from Triple-A Las Vegas.
Goeddel owns a 4.55 ERA and 30/8 K/BB ratio over 29 2/3 innings at the major league level this season. The 27-year-old gives Terry Collins another option out of his bullpen.
