The 28-year-old southpaw registered a 4.61 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 64/27 K/BB ratio across 82 innings between High-A Jupiter, Double-A Trenton and Double-A Jacksonville in 2016. With the Twins’ lack of quality left-handed arms in the bullpen, there’s a chance that he could find his way to Minnesota at some point during the season should injuries strike.

The left-hander isn’t expected to be claimed off waivers and should continue to provide bullpen depth in the minors.

Tracy was designated for assignment by the Yankees last week after appearing in one game as an emergency reliever with the big league club. He’ll be nothing more than organizational depth in Miami.

Tracy was called up to be an extra man in the bullpen on Saturday and took his lumps in an inning of work against the Red Sox. He should pass through waivers and continue to function as organizational bullpen depth for the Yankees.

The move clears a spot for Nick Massett on the 40-man roster. Tracy was just claimed off waivers from the Yankees over the weekend, but he remains in limbo now.

It’s the first time that the 26-year-old southpaw has been summoned to the big leagues. He’s serving as an emergency arm in the bullpen after they were taxed in Friday’s 19-inning marathon against the Red Sox. His stay with the Bombers is expected to be short lived.

Tracy went from the Yankees to the Marlins via the waiver process over the weekend and now finds himself back with the Bombers. The southpaw reliever will provide bullpen depth.

Tracy, 29, was in the minors last season in the Twins organization, posting a 4.71 ERA in 18 appearances -- 13 starts -- over three different levels. The southpaw hasn’t seen any time in the majors since he made one appearance with the Yankees back in 2015.
