Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi reports that the minor league deal between the Blue Jays and outfielder Ryan Kalish has fallen through. The deal was agreed upon in mid-December, but due to unknown reasons, it has fallen through and Kalish is a free agent again.
Kalish, 26, has a .643 OPS over parts of three seasons in the major leagues. He was drafted by the Red Sox in the ninth round of the 2006 draft and spent this past season with the Cubs. Kalish can play all three outfield positions but has accrued most of his playing time in center field.
