After leaving the clubhouse without addressing the media last night, Miguel Cabrera is letting his bat do the talking tonight.
Cabrera just connected on a two-run home run off Matt Cain in the bottom of third inning to give the Tigers a 2-1 lead.
It looked like the ball would die on the warning track in right field initially, but thanks to a strong wind, it just kept carrying and carrying until it landed over the fence. With that, the Tigers have their first lead of the World Series. The wind-aided blast also ended a 20-inning scoreless streak for the club. There’s finally a little juice at a chilly Comerica Park.
