Ted Lilly is the only thing keeping Dodgers from total collapse

Things aren’t going particularly well for the Dodgers, who’re now just two games above .500 and a dozen games back in the NL West, but at least Ted Lilly has pitched brilliantly since coming over from the Cubs in a trade last month. Lilly racked up a season-high 11 strikeouts in a two-hit shutout of the Rockies last night, improving to 4-0 with a 1.29 ERA, 26/4 K/BB ratio, and .129 opponents’ batting average in four Dodgers starts. Unfortunately, since Lilly joined the team the Dodgers are just 4-8 when he doesn’t pitch. And he’s six weeks from becoming a free agent.
