The Pelicans have waived Wenyen Gabriel, James Banks and Malcolm Hill.
All three faced long odds of making the Pelicans’ opening night roster, be it on a guaranteed contract or a two-way deal. Some, if not all, could ultimately wind up on the roster of the Pelicans’ G League affiliate in Birmingham.
