The Jazz added Dominic McGuire and Mike Harris to their training camp roster.
The Jazz are adding some depth and are now up to 19 players on their camp roster. McGuire and Harris are not likely to make the team.
  • Small Forward #33
Mike Harris will miss Friday’s game due to the birth of his child.
He doesn’t get many minutes and his absence should have no fantasy impacts.
  • Small Forward #33
    Jazz waived F Mike Harris.
A bunch of players are going to get waived today before the deadline to guarantee contracts. Harris appeared in 20 games for the Jazz this year, averaging 4.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 11.3 minutes a night.

The Rockets waived forward Mike Harris on Monday.
Harris, with one of the few contracts not fully guaranteed, had been considered a longshot to make the Rockets final roster, but had been impressive in the summer training camp, Las Vegas summer league and in workouts this month. Including Harris, the Rockets have 20 players under contract, and will need to cut five by next Monday.
  • Small Forward #33
Rockets signed forward Mike Harris to a non-guaranteed contract.
Harris has played well in two summer-league games in Las Vegas, averaging 19.9 points and 9.5 rebounds to earn the deal. He averaged 6.0 points and 2.4 boards in five games with Milwaukee last season.

It was reported on Sunday that forward Ryan Bowen won the Thunder’s last roster spot.
Bowen beat out Mike Harris, Tre Kelley, and Michael Ruffin. Unless your league scores points for hustling in practice, he has no fantasy value.

The Thunder waived forward Mike Harris on Friday.
Harris has had stints with the Rockets and Bucks, and it’s unclear whether or not he’ll be picked up by another team.
  • Small Forward #33
Rockets forward Mike Harris has an uphill battle to establish a spot on the Rockets roster next season, and the coaching staff has asked him to focus on skills appropriate for a small forward.
"[The Rockets] wanted me... to be able to guard shooting guards and things like that,” Harris said. With Luis Scola, Chuck Hayes and Joey Dorsey clogging the power forward position, playing SF is the only way he’ll find a consistent role. Keep an eye on the status of Carl Landry, since his departure would instantly improve Harris’ prospects.

The Rockets have signed F Mike Harris to provide depth with Chase Budinger out until mid-January with a sprained right ankle.
The Rockets had formerly reached an agreement with G Von Wafer, but Wafer failed his physical. Harris had been averaging 25.3 points and 7.1 rebounds this season in the NBA D-League. Barring a string of injuries for the Rockets, Harris is unlikely to have much fantasy value this year.

Chase Budinger will miss the next two to three weeks with an ankle injury he suffered during Saturday’s game.
Interestingly, the report states “had forward Carl Landry been out for more than just Saturday’s game,” they would have signed Mike Harris from the D-League, but did not. So, apparently Landry will be back to compensate for Budinger’s absence, but also look for David Andersen to get a few more minutes.
