Famed fruit/vegetable shooter Nik Stauskas will be taking break from his side job of shooting basketballs for the 76ers.
Derek Bodner of Philadelphia magazine:
Nik Stauskas is out for 2 weeks with a right tibia stress reaction. #sixers

Stauskas says he expects to be ready for the season. Says he is not experiencing any swelling. Suffered the injury on the 3rd day of camp

That timeline would put Stauskas back in time for the 76ers’ Oct. 28 opener against the Celtics, but this type of injury can linger.
Stauskas is looking for redemption this year after a rough rookie season with the Kings. His outside shooting should help space the floor for Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel.
If Stauskas isn’t ready, Hollis Thompson would probably start at shooting guard.
