UPDATE Nov. 8, 12:15 am: X-Rays of Marcus Smart’s ankle came back negative, it is a bad sprain but there is nothing torn, reports A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE.com. That’s as much as could be hoped for, but Smart will still be out for a while.

Nov. 7, 10:25 pm: Early in the fourth quarter of Friday’s contest between the Pacers and the Celtics, Marcus Smart went down with what appeared to be a severe ankle injury.

He remained on the floor for several minutes, and eventually was escorted off on a stretcher.
