Kings center Marvin Bagley III, who just finished his rookie year, went on TV and called himself the NBA’s best rapper. He even said he’d battle Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard.

Lillard noticed:

So, Bagley got it started:

Ehhhh.

Lillard responded:

That track is solid, but it doesn’t cut especially deep. I was thinking Lillard could have gone harder. Then, I realized: This was just a warning shot.

A few hours later, Lillard posted another track:

This one hits harder, I also think this is a case of quantity over quality actually working. Lillard released two (!) Bagley diss tracks. That’s persistence.

Bagley came back at him:

This is wayyyy better than Bagley’s first track. It even included my favorite line one the whole saga, though Bagley delivered it before he began flowing: “Somebody done gassed him up. Lemme go ahead and burp this little n—.”

I also love that Bagley dissed Lillard’s shoes. That gives me confidence we can enjoy this beef without worrying it might be part of an advertising campaign.
