Iman Shumpert appears to be taking this rap music career thing pretty seriously.

After we got word that Shumpert would have a track on the soon-to-be-released hip-hop album being put together by First Lady Michelle Obama, he’s now released a “response” to the verse dropped by Kendrick Lamar on Big Sean’s “Control” earlier this week that took the rap world by storm.

The audio is embedded in the clip above, and there are some lines in there that are technically “not safe for work,” so listen at your own risk. There are some NBA references in there too, and for those wondering what the rest of the lyrics are all about, a complete transcript with relevant explanations can be viewed over at Rap Genius.

This is the second NBA-related comeback posted in response to Lamar’s verse. Phil Jackson sent a Twitter message to Lamar, after he was asked if he had any reaction to being name-checked in the song.
