Stephen Curry out for Game 3 against Rockets

Houston Rockets v Golden State Warriors - Game Two

OAKLAND, CA - APRIL 18: Injured point guard Stephen Curry #30 of the Golden State Warriors supports his team from the bench in Game Two of the Western Conference Quarterfinals during the 2016 NBA Playoffs at ORACLE Arena on April 18, 2016 in Oakland, California. Stephen Curry suggested he wouldn’t play Game 3.

Unlike Game 2 – when the Warriors star expected to play but didn’t – Curry was right.

Monte Poole of CSN Bay Area:

The Warriors, with a 2-0 lead, are an overwhelming favorite to advance. Even without Curry, they’re better than the ready-for-vacation Rockets.

Houston could come together for a game and make the series closer, but that just adjusts the sliding scale of Curry’s readiness and Golden State’s need for him. If the Warriors need Curry in this series, they’ll probably get him.

For now, they don’t, so they won’t.
