Lavoy Allen started the second half of Tuesday’s game and had four points, six boards and four blocks in 25 minutes against the Raptors.
Kwame Brown saw just six minutes tonight and didn’t see any action in the second half. Doug Collins could be phasing him out of the rotation since Brown logged just nine minutes on Sunday. Allen is on the radar in deeper leagues.

Marc Spears reported on Friday that seven-foot rookie C Ronnie Aguilar is a “dark horse candidate” to make the roster due to Dwight Howard’s back issues.
The Lakers would be crazy not to look at alternatives while they wait-and-see how Howard’s rehabilitation plays out, so we’re not getting too high or low based off this report. Drafters should be selecting Howard with the understanding that it could be a slow start, anyway, though a setback or missed timetable could suggest more time off than less time off. It’s worth noting that Howard’s recovery has appeared to be going well and it’s still possible he plays in the opener, but like the Heat with Dwyane Wade they’re going to be cautious.
  • Ronnie Aguilar is a “dark horse candidate” to make the Lakers’ roster due to Dwight Howard’s back issues.
Even if Aguilar makes the team, he’ll simply provide depth and he’ll have no fantasy value. He averaged 6.8 points and 13 rebounds in the D-League last season.
  • The Lakers waived C Ronnie Aguilar and F Reeves Nelson.
Neither player had much of a chance and both probably won’t be catching on with another NBA team. The Lakers still have at least four more cuts to make.

Kevin Love (hand) will be out for “a number of weeks,” according to GM David Kahn.
Ouch. We knew Love was staring at a multi-week absence, and we won’t know more until he meets with a specialist in New York on Wednesday. There hasn’t been a decision made yet on surgery. In Love’s absence, Dante Cunningham and Derrick Williams will both be tasked to fill the void, with Andrei Kirilenko and Nikola Pekovic getting a boost for fantasy owners.
