Another day, another serious candidate for the Browns’ head-coaching job opts not to proceed with a second interview.

Earlier this week, former Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel canceled his second interview with the Browns. Now, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter has canceled his second interview.

Here’s the full tweet from Cabot: “Jesse Minter is not interviewing for the Browns HC job today as scheduled, likely because he feels like he has other HC opportunities that are more certain.”

Of the jobs still open, Minter has been interviewed by the Cardinals, Raiders, and Ravens. Some believe he’ll become the next head coach of the Ravens.

The 42-year-old Minter has spent the past two years in L.A. He spent the two prior years as Michigan’s defensive coordinator. He has four years of NFL experience, from 2017 through 2020 with the Ravens, serving as defensive backs coach in his final season there.

The Cardinals are getting closer to finding their new head coach.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Jacksonville defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile is flying to the desert to have his second interview with Arizona on Thursday.

Campanile, 43, just finished his first season as the club’s defensive coordinator. Jacksonville finished No. 8 in points allowed and No. 11 in yards allowed in 2025.

The Ravens and Dolphins have also shown interest in Campanile as a head coaching candidate, though Miami has since hired Jeff Hafley.

Jonathan Gannon was fired earlier this month after three seasons with the club.

Former Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon has completed his interview with the Cowboys, Josina Anderson reports.

Gannon now has another flight to catch.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that Gannon will head to Green Bay this week to interview for the Packers’ defensive coordinator job.

The Packers also have Eagles passing game coordinator Christian Parker and Vikings passing game coordinator Daronte Jones on their list of candidates.

The Packers are seeking to replace Jeff Hafley, whom the Dolphins hired on Monday.

Gannon spent three seasons as the Cardinals’ head coach before the team fired him at the end of the season. He was 15-36 in his tenure with the Cardinals, including a 3-14 record in 2025.

Gannon earned his head coaching job after two seasons as the Eagles’ defensive coordinator. He has also worked for the Falcons, Titans, Vikings and Colts, although his time with the Eagles is his only experience as a defensive coordinator.

The Falcons interviewed Drew Terrell for their offensive coordinator job on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.

Terrell is the Cardinals’ passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach, although the team has fired head coach Jonathan Gannon.

Terrell interviewed for the Chargers’ offensive coordinator job on Monday and previously talked to the Commanders before they promoted David Blough.

Terrell, 34, joined the Cardinals’ staff in 2023 after spending 2020-22 with the Commanders under Ron Rivera. He was assistant receivers coach and then receivers coach for Washington.

He also coached under Rivera with the Panthers from 2018-19 as an offensive quality control coach.

The Cardinals’ head coaching search is rolling along with a candidate from the AFC East.

According to a report from NFL Media, Arizona is interviewing Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady for the team’s vacancy on Tuesday.

Brady has been a popular candidate in this coaching cycle, as he also has talked with the Falcons, Raiders, and Ravens.

He is set to have a second interview with Baltimore.

Brady, 36, began his tenure with the club as quarterbacks coach and was promoted to offensive coordinator midway through the 2023 season after the club fired Ken Dorsey.

He retained the role on a full-time basis in the 2024 offseason.

He also worked for the Saints as an offensive assistant from 2017-2018 and he was the Panthers’ offensive coordinator from 2020-2021. Between those two jobs, Brady served as LSU’s passing game coordinator and receivers coach, helping the program win the CFP national championship in 2019.
