Simon left in the first quarter, was initially questionable, and then was later ruled out. Owen Pappoe took over at linebacker. This injury could possibly end Simon’s season.

Cardinals WR Andre Baccellia (neck) left Arizona’s Week 15 game versus the Texans and did not return.

Baccellia took a kickoff and appeared to get lost in the pile after getting a helmet-to-helmet hit. We’re unsure exactly what the diagnosis is, but it looked serious and several players were praying as he was loaded up on the cart. He did show a little movement and gave a thumbs up while leaving. It would not be surprising if this injury sent Baccellia to season-ending injured reserve. He was taken to the hospital for further observation.

Cardinals RB Zonovan Knight (ankle) left Arizona’s Week 15 game against the Texans and was ruled out.

He was carted off the field after being tackled on his first carry. Knight left with minus-2 rushing yards. Though they initially called him questionable, FOX’s sideline reporter Jen Hale described Knight as being “in a tremendous amount of pain.” Knight may be staring at a season-ending injury.

Cardinals declared RB Emari Demercado (ankle) active for Arizona’s Week 15 game against the Texans.

He figures to see a chunk of the receiving work and should at least be a viable desperation FLEX in his return. Inactive for the Cardinals are: WR Marvin Harrison JR. (heel), CB Max Melton (heel), S Jalen Thompson (hamstring), S Rabbit Taylor-Demerson (ankle), OL Evan Brown (personal), OL Paris Johnson (knee) and WR Xavier Weaver (hamstring) — all with designations. Every questionable Cardinals player is playing — OT Christian Jones (knee), DL Walter Nolen (knee), and TE Elijah Higgins (illness) are all up.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Cardinals RB Emari Demercado (ankle) is expected to play against the Texans in Week 15.

Demercado has been sidelined since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 11. He’s expected to be active, according to Schefter, after getting in three limited practices during the week. Bam Knight has consistently out-touched Michael Carter in recent weeks and even if Demercado is active, he doesn’t figure to command even a third of the backfield touches in his first game back. None of the Cardinals’ running backs are particularly enticing against the Texans defense in the fantasy playoffs and Knight is truly the only usable option.

Cardinals RB Emari Demercado (ankle) is questionable to play in Week 15 against the Texans.

Even if Demercado does play this weekend, he seems unlikely to play on more than a few snaps. Demercado suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 11 against the 49ers and has been sidelined on game day since then. Expect Bam Knight to lead the backfield in touches this week, though he is just a FLEX, given the tough matchup.

Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) will not play in Week 15 against the Texans.

Harrison will miss a second-straight game due to his heel injury. His absence likely spells another high-volume target day for Michael Wilson, who has seen 18, 14, and 16 targets in three games without Harrison this season, turning into fantasy gold for managers down the stretch. Even with a tough Week 15 game against the Texans on tap, Wilson will be a must-start. Harrison will look to make his way back to the field for Week 16’s game against the Falcons.

Cardinals RB Emari Demercado (ankle) was limited on Thursday.

Demercado could need another week to rehab his high-ankle sprain, but Friday’s report will clarify things. Cardinals RB Bam Knight has out-touched RB Michael Carter in each of the last three games, totaling 38 touches to Carter’s 23. Should Demercado return this week, he could reduce both players’ workloads. With all three on the field in Weeks 10-11, Knight totaled 20 touches while Demercado handled 14 and Carter took 10. Stay tuned.

Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) was not seen practicing on Thursday.

Assuming Harrison is officially listed as a non-participant on the team’s injury report later today, Thursday marks his fifth straight heel-related absence. He seems highly unlikely to play at this point, preserving WR Michael Wilson and TE Trey McBride’s elite workloads. Check back tomorrow to see if Harrison can return to practice, but in the meantime, make backup plans.

Demercado has been out since Week 11 with a high-ankle sprain. He returned to practice last week but didn’t suit up on Sunday. He has a shot at returning this week. Demercado would be in the mix for work on passing downs alongside Michael Carter, taking both players off the fantasy roster for Week 15.
