DeVonta Smith caught 4-of-8 targets for 37 yards in the Eagles’ Week 14 loss to the Chargers.
Smith’s eight targets ranked third on the team behind A.J. Brown and Dallas Goedert, while his 37 yards extended a streak of six games without reaching the century mark. With just three touchdowns and two 100-yard games on the season, Smith has yet to live up to lofty preseason expectations for fantasy drafters that took him in premium rounds. He’ll have every opportunity to return usable counting stats when the Eagles host the Raiders in Week 15.
  • PHI Tight End #88
Dallas Goedert caught 8-of-10 targets for 78 yards in the Eagles’ Week 14 loss to the Chargers.
Goedert was the consistent chain-mover for the Eagles on a night where turnovers were their downfall. The 78 yards were his second most of the season and largest offensive output since his 110-yard game against the Giants on 9 October. The veteran tight end’s massive red zone role was unable to prop his counting stats as the team consistently failed to move the football into scoring position. Goedert gets a much softer matchup in Week 15 when the Eagles host the Raiders.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #11
A.J. Brown caught 6-of-13 targets for 100 yards in the Eagles’ Week 14 loss to the Chargers.
Brown’s solid fantasy performance was mired by a couple key plays. Early in the first quarter, Brown was seen “taking a play off” on a screen to DeVonta Smith, missing two opportunities to lay a block. Smith was tackled for a minimal gain. Later in the game, Brown saw a pass deflect off his hands and into the defender’s, resulting in one of four Jalen Hurts interceptions on the evening. Brown has now hit the 100-yard threshold in three consecutive games, all three of which were losses by the Eagles. He’ll get a much more forgiving matchup in Week 15 against the Raiders.
  • PHI Running Back #26
Saquon Barkley rushed 20 times for 122 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles’ Week 14 loss to the Chargers.
Barkley was churning out consistently mediocre gains prior to the 52-yard score on the first play of the fourth quarter, which would go down as the only touchdown of the game for the Eagles. His breakaway run came on a feigned tush push on third and one in which quarterback Jalen Hurts pitched the ball to Barkley on the edge. Barkley exploded through the first level and was off to the races. While fantasy managers can’t complain with the returns in a difficult matchup, the explosive run against the Chargers was only his third rush for more than 20 yards this season after notching 17 such carries in 2024. He’ll get a much softer matchup on the ground against the Raiders in Week 15.
  • PHI Quarterback #1
Jalen Hurts completed 21-of-40 passes for 240 yards and four interceptions in the Eagles’ 22-19, Week 14 loss to the Chargers, adding eight yards on four carries.
Hurts also lost a fumble in the five-turnover night, two of which came on the same play in the second quarter. Chargers defensive tackle Da’Shawn Hand picked Hurts but lost the football while taken to the ground. Hurts then recovered the fumble only to lose it himself, which was then recovered by the Chargers on a bizarre three-turnover play, with two of them charged to Hurts. The rarity of the play contributed to five combined turnovers from each team within the span of 11 offensive plays. The final turnover committed by Hurts was an interception to end the game in overtime after Cameron Dicker kicked the Chargers into the lead on the opening possession of the extra frame. The five turnovers go down as the most in a single game in Jalen Hurts’ career, while the four interceptions doubled the two he had thrown through 12 games this season. Losers of three straight, Hurts and the Eagles maintain a 1.5-game lead over the Cowboys in the NFC East with four games left to play. They get a much more forgiving opponent in Week 15 when they face the floundering Raiders at home.
  • PHI Tackle #65
Eagles declared OLB Josh Uche, QB Sam Howell, CB Mac McWilliams, RB A.J. Dillon, RT Lane Johnson, and DT Jalen Carter inactive for Week 14 against the Chargers.
Johnson had already been ruled out earlier in the week, targeting Week 15 against the Raiders as his potential return date. Philadelphia’s offensive struggles have been exacerbated with the veteran’s absence, something that could come to a head against the league’s third-ranked defense on Monday Night Football.
  • PHI Head Coach
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni “has been more involved in the offensive preparations this week.”
The Eagles are currently 19th in points per game and 14th in EPA per play. They ranked seventh and sixth in those metrics last year. There has been significant turnover along their offensive line, in part because of injuries, but not enough to warrant this drastic a falloff. The biggest change Philly was forced to make over the past offseason was at offensive coordinator. Kevin Patullo took over the job after Kellen Moore departed for the head coaching gig in Atlanta. Patullo has been unable to get Saquon Barkley going after he set records in 2024. The passing game has also struggled at times and the Eagles are now on a two-game losing streak. Sirianni said after last week’s loss to Chicago that Patullo will retain play-calling duties this week. His increased involvement in the offense, however, is undoubtedly a sign that Patullo is on the hot seat.
  • PHI Tackle #65
Lane Johnson (foot) has been ruled out for Week 14 against the Chargers.
As expected, Johnson will miss at least one more game with his foot injury. The hope is that the All-Pro tackle will be back for the Philadelphia offense for Week 15 against Las Vegas.
  • PHI Defensive Tackle #98
Eagles DT Jalen Carter is considered week-to-week after undergoing procedures on both shoulders on Monday.
Carter has been listed with a shoulder injury on the Eagles’ injury report this season. Evidently, both shoulders were hurt. Carter has already been ruled out for the Eagles’ Week 14 game against the Chargers on Monday night, and his goal is “to be as close to 100 percent as possible for the playoff run.” The game-wrecking defensive tackle experienced a slight dip in his pass-rush win rate from 2024 to 2025, dropping from 12.9 percent to 11.5 percent. Despite the injuries, he ties for third on the team with 36 quarterback pressures.
  • PHI Offensive Coordinator
Eagles HC Nick Sirianni said OC Kevin Patullo will continue to call plays in Week 14 against the Chargers.
When asked if Patullo would remain as the team’s play-caller, Sirianni endorsed his long-time friend and first-time offensive coordinator with a resounding, “yeah.” The Eagles’ offensive struggles have been a story throughout most of the season, but things have felt particularly bleak as of late. The Eagles have topped 20 points just once in their last four games, and lost 24-15 at home to the Bears on Black Friday. Patullo will remain as play-caller for Week 14’s game against the Chargers, but at this time, he feels far from a lock to finish out the season in his current role.
