Free agent offensive tackle Luke Tenuta will remain in Indianapolis.
Tenuta re-signed with the Colts today, the team announced.
The 26-year-old Tenuta spent all of last year with the Colts and was active for four games. He will compete for a roster spot to provide depth on the offensive line this year.
Tenuta was originally a 2022 sixth-round pick of the Bills out of Virginia Tech. He has also played for the Packers and Cardinals.
The Commanders entered the offseason wanting to get Jayden Daniels another wide receiver alongside Terry McLaurin. That’s still on the list of priorities.
The first choice was apparently Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce, who re-signed with Indianapolis just before it became legal for teams to negotiate with free agents. According to John Keim of ESPN, a source said Pierce “absolutely” would have signed with the Commanders if he had reached free agency.
Realistically, however, if the Commanders were going to out-bid the Colts for Pierce, they would have made sure Pierce’s agent knew that before he re-signed with the Colts. Teams and agents talk all the time, and Pierce wouldn’t have signed with the Colts just before the start of the negotiating window unless he had a very good idea of what other offers would be out there once the window officially opened. So while the Commanders may have wanted Pierce, that doesn’t mean they would have gotten him, even if Pierce had waited long enough to let them make him an official offer.
With the Commanders still needing a No. 2 receiver to complement McLaurin, 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk would be an obvious choice. Daniels and Aiyuk are close friends and were teammates at Arizona State, and they’d love to play together again. Aiyuk is still under contract to the 49ers, but they have said they’ll move on from him this offseason. When the 49ers officially move him, Aiyuk would make a lot of sense in Washington.
The Commanders could also draft a wide receiver, and there are still veterans available in free agency Jauan Jennings, DeAndre Hopkins and Keenan Allen. It’s a position where the Commanders would still like to fill a need, even as free agency slows down.
The Colts will bring cornerback Cameron Mitchell back for another season.
Mitchell signed with the Colts today, the team announced.
Last year Mitchell started the season with the Browns but was cut in September. The Colts signed him in October, initially to the practice squad, but later promoted him to the active roster. Mitchell played eight games for the Colts in 2025, with one start, in addition to playing two games for the Browns.
The 24-year-old Mitchell was a fifth-round pick of the Browns in 2023 and has played a total of 32 NFL games with four starts.
Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton has not played in an NFL game since he was with the Cowboys in 2022, so most people probably assumed that he had retired some time ago.
Hilton erased any doubts that might have been lingering on Wednesday. He formally announced his retirement in a post to X.com that thanked the Colts, the Cowboys, fans who supported him, his teammates and his family.
The Colts drafted Hilton in the third round in 2012 and he spent 10 years with the team. Hilton posted at least 1,000 receiving yards in five of those seasons and led the league in receiving yards during the 2016 season. He was a four-time Pro Bowl selection during his time in Indianapolis and closed out his time with the team with the third-most catches and receiving yards in franchise history.
Hilton had 631 catches for 9,691 yards and 53 touchdowns while with the Colts.
Hilton went unsigned for most of the 2022 season, but played three games for Dallas late in the season. His first catch for the team went for 52 yards and he finished the year with seven receptions for 121 yards.
The Colts signed a pair of players on Wednesday.
Indianapolis announced receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither have both joined the club.
Westbrook-Ikhine, 28, spent last season with the Dolphins after playing for the Titans for five seasons. While he appeared in 15 games with three starts, he caught just 11 passes for 89 yards.
In 2024, Westbrook-Ikhine caught 32 passes for 497 yards with nine TDs.
Davis-Gaither is reuniting with defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, who coached him with the Bengals. He appeared in 17 games with 13 starts for the Cardinals last season, recording a career-high 117 total tackles.
A fourth-round pick in 2020, David-Gaither played his first five seasons for the Bengals.
The Colts are reuniting defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo with a player he coached with the Bengals.
Indianapolis announced on Tuesday that the club has signed cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt.
As noted by Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, Taylor-Britt’s contract is for one year.
A Bengals second-round pick in 2022, Taylor-Britt played his first three seasons with Anarumo as his defensive coordinator. Last season, Taylor-Britt appeared in eight games with two starts, recording five passes defensed.
In his 47 career games with 40 starts, Taylor-Britt has recorded seven interceptions with 38 passes defended.
The Colts made a veteran addition to their defensive line group on Tuesday.
They announced the signing of defensive tackle Jerry Tillery. The team did not announce the terms of the contract.
Tillery spent the 2025 season with the Chiefs. He played in every game and started three times while picking up 20 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.
The Chargers selected Tillery in the first round in 2019 and he remained with the team until being waived in November 2022. He was claimed by the Raiders and then moved on to the Vikings in 2024.
Tillery had 86 tackles, 12.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 96 appearances across those stops.
The Colts signed undrafted free agent Carson Towt on Tuesday, the team announced.
Towt was a forward on the Notre Dame basketball team in 2025, and the Colts plan to convert him to tight end.
The 6-foot-8, 250-pound athlete played basketball at Northern Arizona from 2020-24. While at Northern Arizona, Towt set the Big Sky Conference single-season record with 423 total rebounds in 2024, leading the country, and he recorded 20 double-doubles.
Towt did not play football in high school or college.
With the Colts, Towt will join a tight end with a similar background in Mo Alie-Cox. Alie-Cox played basketball at VCU and was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2017.
Alie-Cox, 32, just re-signed with the Colts on Monday and became the second-longest tenured member of the team’s roster.
After losing Tyler Linderbaum as a free agent, the Ravens are bringing in some help at center.
Per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Baltimore has agreed to sign Danny Pitner.
Jeff Zrebiec of TheAthletic.com reports the contract is worth $2.25 million for one year with a maximum value of $2.75 million.
Pinter, 29, was a Colts fifth-round pick in 2020 and had spent his entire career with the club. He’s appeared in 77 games with 10 starts in his career.
In 2025, Pinter played all 17 games with one start. He was on the field for 13 percent of offensive snaps and 17 percent of special teams snaps.
Pinter’s contract suggests he’s not necessarily Baltimore’s first choice to start at center. But with his experience, he should at least provide depth and an option if needed.
The Raiders have added a linebacker.
Las Vegas announced on Monday that the club has signed Segun Olubi.
Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
Olubi, 26, just completed his rookie contract with the Colts. He was a heavy special teams contributor for Indianapolis, playing about 80 percent of the team’s snaps on the unit in each of the last two seasons.
In 2025, Olubi recorded 11 total tackles with a forced fumble.
