49ers Extend Nedney’s Contract

In addition to signing outside linebacker Parys Haralson to a four-year, $15 million contract extension today, the San Francisco 49ers have also signed kicker Joe Nedney to a two-year contract extension, according to the Associated Press. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. Nedney is now under contract through the 2011 season. Since being signed by the 49ers in 2005, Nedney has connected on 101 of 115 field goal tries. According to NFL.com, Nedney converted 29 of 33 field goal attempts last season. In 13 NFL seasons, Nedney, 36, has an 80 percent conversion rate. He has made 295 of 298 extra-points attempts.
