Since getting back to the home base in time for Sunday’s edition of PFT’s Countdown to Kickoff entailed catching a train at 3:00 a.m. and driving the ’68 VW bus from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., I decided to stay in New York until Monday.
And so I’m heading out right now to Mickey Mantle’s Restaurant & Sports Bar on Central Park West for the one-hour preview show on Sporting News Radio with Craig Shemon. You can check it out right here.
It’ll then be time to head back to the Motel 6 (who knew they had one in Midtown Manhattan?) to watch the Sunday wild-card games, to work on the site, and to pack up all the stuff for an early train home.
Rosenthal and MDS will have the wheel while I’m off. Feel free to blame them for the fact that we picked the Bengals and Eagles on Saturday.
