Nearly three years ago, Seahawks fans created a small earthquake while celebrating the legendary postseason touchdown run by Marshawn Lynch. On Monday night, the needle of the seismometer was moving, again.
Via the Seattle Times, the 22-yard fumble return for a touchdown by defensive end Michael Bennett spawned Beastquake 2.0, registering in the range of one to two on the Richter scale.
Each number on the Richter scale reflects a new order of magnitude, with a 2.0 reading being 10 times stronger than a 1.0, and a 3.0 reading 10 times stronger than 2.0.
The measurement came on the same machine that recorded a small earthquake during the Lynch touchdown run.
We’ve got a feeling the needle will be moving again during the postseason, when the Seahawks likely play two games at home.
